GTA Online updates suck ass. Where's our story DLC, Rockstar? Or are you too busy milking shark card sales by effortlessly releasing medicore GTA Online updates every month?
Seriously, Rockstar is the face of games like GTA IV and Red Dead, games that focused on a powerful narrative instead of selectively catering to its shallow online component.
It's sad to see Rockstar bend over to GTA Online.
I said it before and I'll say it again: Rockstar is better than Naughty Dog. I'd like to see Naughty Dog pull off an open world game like Red Dead or GTA V. Those games are more impressive at the technical level on their respective platforms.
Except Uncharted 4 is 30fps...
Oh God, this is cringey. People really get emotional with this game?
Some PC gamers are reluctant to play it because they still have hope that the game will arrive on PC. That's a big nope, you know, since the game's five years old!
The game's five years old now. There's no way Rockstar has interest in porting it to the PC. No one's having any luck with PS3/360 emulators either.
Our biggest hope is a remaster for CG and PC, but I highly doubt that since the game's original code was a broken mess.
PC gamers are still persisting in getting this game on PC? Just buy a last-gen console for like $100 and play it... stingy bastards.
It's never coming to PC, and I guarantee you the next Red Dead won't either.
@ ABizzel1
To be fair, Rockstar enjoyed just as much, if not, more critical reception, too. GTA V and GTA IV are the two highest rated games of last gen, with average scores of 97 and 98 on MetaCritic. GTA V is actually the highest rated game on PS4 and Xbox One right now.
GTA V scored over 300 perfect scores, and both GTA IV and Red Dead were the consensus game of the years for 2008 and 2010.
@JackStraw
Ah, the obligatory "it's unfair to compare apples (open world games) to oranges (linear games)" comment.
It simply comes down to what you enjoy or prefer more. Sure, you can make supportive arguments to claim what developer does what better in certain capacities, but the end game comes down to an opinion: what game you enjoy more.
There's no question. Naughty Dog's always gonna be the best when it comes to graphical fidelity on consoles. Other games can look amazing too, but Naughty Dog is practically unparalleled. The only other game that's in the same league when it comes to graphics is The Order: 1886.
I wasn't trying to undermine either game, but of course a linear game is going to have higher graphical fidelity than a vast open world game.
I don't think graphics make games though. I'm currently playing through Fallout 3 again, and boy has that game's graphics aged poorly, but that doesn't stop it from being one of the funnest RPG's for me.
I know it's a big circlejerk here to praise Naughty Dog, but aside from Uncharted 2 and TLOU, their games don't really hold their ground against GTA or Red Dead.
But on the graphical level, I agree, no other dev comes close.
@itBourne
They are technically different teams, but I like to see them as a whole, since they have the same company nature, and their games are written and produced by the same guys working at the North team. I also read before that a bunch of the guys from Rockstar North moved to San Diego to help make Red Dead, since the coders there had trouble making an open world wilderness environment for a cowboy setting.
Honestly, I don't know who's better. GT...
Never. After the success of The Last of Us, ND only cares about making melodramatic stories blended with realistic graphics. Jak & Daxter is a thing of the past, kid stuff.
But in all seriousness, they've stated they're not gonna make any more cartoony games. So Jak is out of the picture... unless they change their minds of course. Hopefully.
I wouldn't go as far as saying they're better than Pixar. Pixar made Toy Story, Inside Out, and Finding Nemo. While Uncharted and TLOU are great at storytelling, they're not at the level of Pixar.
@itBourne
GTA 4 was phenomenal when it first came out in 2008. It was easily the most immersive and detailed open world environment of its time - nothing came close.
"It wasn't so great."
That's why it's the highest rated game of last-gen then? It has a 98 on MetaCritic.
Rockstar made Red Dead Redemption, that game is a masterpiece. Besides maybe TLOU, nothing comes close to RDR.
Except for Uncharted 3. Uncharted 2 was way better than 3.
"This article, is it clickbait or not?"
Guys it's a fake. Read the video description.
Rockstar needs to give us some story DLC. For the past two years, they've shown nothing but love for GTA Online, but it's not for everyone.
