In my opinion, they have evolved and become more complicated. Way back in the day with command and conquer games, they were easier to pick up and play. I’ll actually go further back to a $70 Super Nintendo game called “Metal Marines”. Not sure if I’m off the mark, but these cellphone, real time strategy games become overwhelming quickly to me. I purchased a PS5 from Walmart on March 4th. A Co worker was able to score one from Sony direct on Wednesday and received his yesterday. I went over to check it out and in my opinion I wasn’t impressed. I cancelled my Walmart purchase after watching him play for 2 hours. It was nice to see existing games run in 4K and 60fps. Demon souls was a “controller smasher” on the PS3. Good gamers make it look easy lol. Not sure if I want to sacrifice my new dual sense yet. Perhaps the hype of the difficulty made me play the game too tight, instead of just playing it for what it is
I agree, with you. I just don’t want developers to get lazy or try to money grab from dated games with FPS upgrades or slight graphical enhancements. We had lots of reboots and remasters last generation. What the hell happened to Syphon Filter? Reboot that!

2k hoops has been solid for awhile. However! Except for the load times, I’m not that impressed by the next gen graphical differences. I’ll wait until next year
