I am talking about the general public man... Jeesh. Not everyone understands what DRM is in the world. Maybe most of the fanboys here but not everyone.
I think what you are forgetting is that people still didn't know what DRM was back when they crucified MS/Xbox for including it and fanboys of PS didn't really mind that people didn't understand what it meant just so long as they didn't like Xbox for using it. Now PS is using DRM. Like they always have. We get it.
Dedicated servers are not just a single cluster or item. Sure they had dedicated servers on 1st party games but how many? You can have a lot of dedicated servers or very few spread throughout. I think what he meant is that MS has more servers than Sony has. Which is true. The only other companies that have anywhere near as many servers as MS's Azure are Google and Amazon. So there is a difference. Facts are facts.

The only dedicated support we will get is the dedication to avoiding the damn question.
That's a very ignorant and generalized statement. Way to go.
@mrmagoo
Sorry to inform you but it was established that Activision did use MS dedicated azure servers. It was not 100% dedicated like it was first announced. However, it providedthe least lag infested experience for CoD Ghosts that was available. Only on Xbox One. They used a system of hybrid listen and dedicated which are very similar servers. 99% dedicated support.

What if you own both?
Also would you say the same about dedicated servers? if CoDAW only had dedicated servers only on Xbox one because of their extra azure servers, and only hosted peer to peer servers only on PS4? Which would mean laggier games on ps4 and no lag on Xbox one version of the game. I mean if one console didn't have extra servers then it would be expected right?
Just curious.
Much further than zero additional dedicated servers worldwide. The proof is in cod ghosts on Xbox one.
MS did offer up their servers for ghosts and they used it. It was reported that they were trying to get more for the PS4 version of the game before ghosts came out. There wasnt nearly as much lag on the xbone version of ghosts as there is on the xbone version of advanced warfare. Its more than obvious.
Like Godz kastro said. Just because MS offers it doesn't mean Activision is required to use it. They can if they want. Why they wouldn't alludes to parity. Which would...
There are certain ways a game reacts when its being hosted on a console versus running on dedi servers. I would think those type of peer to peer hosted console antics shine through. Unlike what they would ever react on dedicated. It says ping next to the names but people I used to play on ghosts I cannot play with now on AW because its simply too far away. It lags everyone not just that user out. Sometimes kicking large groups of people off the hosted console simultaneously.

Maybe say something of value instead of typing what you typed. I meant it genuinely but I guess since this is a biased site nobody can answer. Good to know. Good old N4g.
How dare someone not be as blown away by uncharted as they are the last of us. What a horrible world we live in. I am sorry but most people on this site who have 12 bubbles don't deserve them. Blows my mind when people ask a genuine question why NONE of you can answer. Nothing b...
No offense to anyone but maybe I just completely missed out on the Uncharted Series. I have heard friends say they loved it and I am willing to replay some of them. I played part 2. Didn't play part 3 but from what I hear I didn't miss much on 3. Part 2 was the best.
First let me be clear. I own a PS4 and i own and enjoyed "The Last of Us" greatly. I have seen a rendered CGI trailer last on UC4. Played part 1 and 2 of uncharted. When I hear people talk abo...
It seems they went the parity route and decided to NOT do as many dedicated servers as ghosts did. Which is odd to me. Not sure why they chose more peer 2 peer methods than they did with ghosts. I figured it was a sure bet they would have. Seems they toned it back for some reason and unfortunately it has a few laggy problems. I sure hope they change their minds and actually take advantage of some of the azure servers. Which if its because of parity, I think that's just as bad as the resol...
That is pretty racist. No need for that.
Xbox one for fully dedicated servers. So you don't have p2p hosting and you get your DLC earlier. Are you really going to notice resolution when you are running around like a nut? Nope.you are gonna notice when servers don't work and you don't have maps though.
Its dedicated servers on Xbox One plus early maps. You don't need to worry. Its not a hybrid server mix like ghosts was on PS4. One thing you can count on is the servers for Xbox One. Part of the reason MLG support.
I am sure a lot of fence sitters will make the jump now.
@soapshoes
Clearly this was a joke. Its the "superior" console. Seriously though think about how many people would use it though.
I hope Sony adds the consoles sales report figure button to the controller this gen so we can share it on twitter and Facebook. It seems to be more popular than exclusives.
That's the way to be about it. The game can't stay exactly the same forever. It has to grow a little bit. I am open to it too. If I wanted classic mode all the time I am sure they could just put classic in the game type.
