I think what the author is/was saying really didn't have much to do with MS or Xbox at all. In fact they never bring it up. What they are saying is that there has been too much sensationalism behind the PS4 console and its promises.

Fanboys wanted it to be a failed game. It was still a success. Enough to make another. I think its sad that a lot of hate the game got was due to the fact it didn't come to PS4. Its still in my top 3 or four games out this gen. I would much rather give up my copy of destiny than my copy of Titanfall any day. It was a COD COPY? Is that why they called Cod AW trailer.. I used to feel the way you did. Until I started seeing the freedom I actually had on PC. Then the real gamer seemed to spring out of me. Both these consoles make money from the devices being in the home period. That's the point of these consoles. Get them in every home and now watch the money come in. Trust me. The barely make that much off the console. PS4 is making more off all the stuff that isn't physical. Like digital sales.
