Give it a rest. I generally like the authors articles but this is a weird attempt at overshadowing PSNs bigger online infrastructure problems it seems. I don't hate PSN/+ but come on.... we know its not Playstations strong point. Its Xboxs strong point. Nobody said XBL was perfect (NO service is) Its just more reliable, stable and/or better on XBL.
That's fine, but even still. When gamers keep going on and on about resolution. Eventually developers are going to optimize games for resolution instead of Fluidity and game mechanics. So they will sacrifice FRAMES and smoothness of gameplay eventually. If that's all that matters.

I don't think they have directly come out and said there will not be a master chief anywhere. They just said there will be another character to share the limelight. To help widen the storyline within the "Halo" universe. Why would they make a Master Chief collection and completely ignore/remove master chief in Halo 5?

Well considering VR is becoming a thing. I hardly see First Person anything going anywhere. Its what pushes VR. Maybe the games are fine but how we experience them will change.

In all fairness. People need to understand that you can't just have millions of servers instantly. It takes time and it takes a lot of years of subscription money to make that happen. It will happen. Just give it time. Last gen is significantly different than this gen. Perhaps, there is money that is paid to each of the games they give away on ALL the PS platforms. That may cost more than we know.
I always try to remain positive that it will get better. I personally don't have as high expectations as a lot of others though. At least not starting out. It's still newer than last gens network. I can still see a lot of frustration of NEW adopters to the service as they may be used to another type of expectation or variety of online providers. It's always a touchy subject regardless because we all pay for internet first and then pay for these subscriptions on top of that same...
I hope its 900p on the Xbox One at a smooth 60fps. Give Xbox players the fluid gameplay and give ps4 gamers what they want. The flag worthy 1080p only 30fps. They had better not lower the frames down to 30fps on Xbox one because its only 30fps on PS4 though. Or I am going to twitter.
