Freedom of speech is a double edged sword.
Innovative might be a bit too strong of a word, but PSN developers definitely haven't been afraid to try new things and venture into less than familiar territory. And so far its working out well for them.

I personally prefer the mic situation on the psn.its not a barren wasteland, like some people make it out to be, and the people who do have mics use them responsibly (except for an oddball every now and then). Actually making someone invest in a mic separates those who actually use them for its intended purpose and those who only want to f()ck around and act like a dumass with them.
MS should just pay Apple to keep those "vs." ads going on. I don't know how, but Apple somehow manages to make MS seem like the underdog, and make themselves appear as a bunch of pretentious pricks.

The review system is broken because we have too many possible scores. 9.7? 8.4? 9.9? I've even seen some sites go into the hundredths place. Its stupid. What the difference between a 9.6 and a 9.2? Nothing. The scores are worthless. Hell IGN's game of the year wasn't even their highest rated game (it actually beat out two prefect scores). The fanboy whining and complaining occurs because of these stupid decimals. EX: Halo 3 is better then Killzone 2 because it scored .1 higher. Whats the diff...

Its a little hard to say who's business plan is the best right now because they're not done yet. However, Based on our current knowledge, MS and Nintendo seem to went for immediate sales, while Sony took a different route, and opted for a long term plan.
I believe Sony is waiting for those ps2 gamers to jump onto the ps3 bandwagon. I find i hard to believe that Sony expected a 600 dollar machine to outsell either the wii or the 360 right from the get go. I'm pretty sure they knew it...
