It is quite clear and un-confusing for xbox gamers, all games gamepass Day 1, wherever you can access gamepass, be it xbox, PC, or xcloud.
Simple
Ohhhh, this one will be mad today, and let everyone know this changed nothing for him and he will play on PC lmao.
Me personally thought it was great news and will be downloading doom 3 and doom 64 when i get home to run through the games again.
Greatness has arrived
Phil was right, it is a great time to be an xbox gamer, just for the sheer fact of the unpaid entertainment on here today.
@Sephiroushin
"MS just buy stabilized franchises from 3rd party studios ..."
False, Halo/Gears/Forza/Ori and many others were not bought, but initially created by Microsoft or a 2nd party.
Please list these "stable" franchises that Microsoft have bought omitting the Zenimax studios please.

Your ignorance really knows no bounds, not only did Microsoft not initiate the push towards a streaming only future, you seem to think that they are the only company doing it.
PSNOW was launched in 2014
Gamepass was launched in 2017
Your constant attempt to paint Microsoft as the "bad guys" all the time, does nothing but show you are just a fanboy, unable to acknowledge that your platform of choice, is ...
Sir Phil to you...
All it takes is for them to release 2 games a year across all the studios, and then gamepass pays for itself.
Sony definitely will not, allowing a direct competitor to PSNOW on their platform?
Got more chance platting water
@Deep_Space_One
"And of course all the unbiased xbox fanboys are cheering them on."
I thought all xbox games are available on PC? or did i miss something? Just get them on PC, everyone here prefers the PS5/PC combination, so this news affects no one right?
Some great info from the stream, Phil reaffirmed that they will honour existing contracts, 20 Bethesda games on gamepass today, future and unnanounced games on gamepass Day 1.
And the most important of all, allowing all of Zenimax studios to collaborate across the board with the coalition/343 etc, whilst allowing the studios the freedom to develop whatever games they want.
Great news all around, for xbox and other platforms alike.
I only referred to it as some form of DRM, in regards to the potential to need an internet connection to verify the game on initial install, the form of DRM has changed over the years.
And because of its own description on what it is :-
"Denuvo Anti-Tamper, more commonly known as Denuvo, is an anti-tamper technology and digital rights management (DRM) scheme developed by Austrian software company Denuvo Software Solutions GmbH, a subsidiary of Irdeto...
No console manufacturer is bad for the industry, they assist it to grow, and without Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony may not have innovated as much in their consoles as they have today.
If it was just 1 manufacturer in the industry, it would stagnate and there would be no need to release better hardware.
Competition grows any industry, that is just business, i'm sure if you ask Jim Ryan whether he would prefer Microsoft to exit the console business, he w...

"Acting all superior just comes across as really douchy, I don't have to buy an xbox and I am not going to. And the whole idea that anyone is better than anyone else because of the video game console they own is embarrassing."
No one has said any of that to you Deep, no one said "you have to buy xbox" and no one said "i'm better than you"
Everyone you and i alike, are entitled to gam...
The hype is real, i'll be just in time to watch to see if there are any new games on the horizon!!!
So do single-player games die after 3 months due to the lack of PVP?
Please elaborate further....
Like i said, good games, even with EA, i will support one of their games if it is good, the cash cow games i avoid.
More to the point about brand loyalty, some people buy EA games all the time, no matter how stale they get. Call of duty is another, religiously supported even though quality declines with every iteration.
I would not even be that bothered if some xbox games were available on playstation, it just allows more people to play some of the good g...
"MS has been in the industry for nearly 25 years and we're still waiting on their exclusives."
Halo CE was launched on their very first console....
@Deep_Space_One
Not again
"PS+ is approaching 50 million subs."
The conversation is about the subscription services, for games. So Gamepass vs PSNOW, and yet you throw in some numbers from a sub that you need to play online?
You need to compare PS+ to xbox live gold which as of April 2020 (i know, a year ago before Series X launch as well) the number was at 90 million monthly active users.
Yes this, we need more PC games to make the transfer to console, i am still waiting for age of empires to get a console release, they seem to be keeping quiet on that one lol.
What does Epic have to do with discussion about internal usage of game engines?
Nothing... so.....
