Because it is xbox talking and promoting their newly acquired franchises.
Why is everyone getting offended that Microsoft class these games as legendary?
"1. adjective. If you describe someone or something as legendary, you mean that they are very famous and that many stories are told about them."
IMO all these games are famous and well known, and many stories have been told about them, good and bad, so the "legendary&qu...
"PS5 does not use emulation for their upgrades...they go the complete from the ground up method...native"
So you saying PS5's "Native" updates, result in worse performance than a software solution?
Xbox will promote their newly acquired games, why wouldn't they?
Now if it was a different website, maybe have a case.
@badz149
I would not read to much into the "legendary" status, or let it affect you so much.
Microsoft are going to call these titles legendary.
"Please, Bethesda has been completely multiplatform for 15+ years, and that's if you don't take into account IPs like Doom that were multiplatform long before that."
Bethesda only purchased ID in 2009, Doom is not Bethesda's "legacy".
"The only gamers benefitting are Game Pass subscribers. Any fans of Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Doom, and Dishonored that are on PlayStation or Switch are getting screwed."

"locking content behind a subscription service."
Flat out lies, nothing is "locked away" you can still buy the games outside of gamepass, not only that the games are still on Playstation.
So true, i have played so so many games i would never have looked at twice.
Console and mobile i think via xcloud, not clear on the gamepass for PC yet, but it looks like it does not include PC.
I've just cancelled my 2 pre-orders lol
No they do not, it is called evolution.
Sony are doing a "rental" service, and so are Nintendo.
Games will be all digital in the future, it is inevitable. Even if like you say, "I'd prefer to own my main games" sorry, but you never own your game, even if you buy on disc, you pay for a license to use the software, any publisher can stop you using their software at any time (not that they ever do).
@Highrevz
The reason to be happy about all console sales, is it grows the industry as a whole, leading to manufacturers to create new games/experiences for gamers.
It drives competition, which in turn creates innovation, leading in a greater product in a highly competitive industry. The end result is we have the PS5 and the Series X, beasts of consoles, capable of 4K @ 120fps.
I don't even know why the conversation is about gamepass, it has nothing to do with hardware sales.
@Yaku
Gamepass is not the beginning and end of gaming, good games are, regardless of how they are distributed.
And the UK is still part of Europe lol, we have not become our own continent, we left the EU (European Union) 2 different things.
For the disagree merchants, here you go, thank me later :-

Or maybe it is because i do not go into Sony articles that often.
What other "jabs" have i taken at Sony? Back up your false allegations.
I simply read this article, and when they mentioned "Many of the designer’s former Japan Studio team members are understood to have followed him to Bokeh, ahead of the SIE studio’s winding down."
I looked at other news stories about SIE, that is all.
@Vengeance11...
@sagapo
I dunno, i think stock is slowly becoming available.
My bro's Series X is due shortly from Game UK.
@Waverider,
And they are right, it will change things.... for Microsoft.
And i may be wrong, but pretty sure Microsoft are selling more consoles than they did the xbox one, so ALL companies are setting records with Covid. (especially if you take into account gamers that want these consoles but can not get them).
I think it is fanboys/media outlets that are coming up with outrageous statements, more so than Microsoft.
with themselves lol.
I know, i fall for it everytime lol.
Sony and Nintendo are selling more because they are more popular.
Even i that owns an xbox knows that gamepass is not going to change that. Yes it may shift a few more xbox's out the door, and gamepass is a good deal for xbox owners.
They will all survive just fine, options are good, and are available on all consoles.
And damage control/deflect starts.
This was already stated in the announcement/news by xbox.com :-
"In some instances, because there are higher graphics requirements to enable FPS Boost technology, we’ve had to reduce a game’s resolution to ensure it both runs smoothly and plays great. In those select cases, such as Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 in this latest title announcement, FPS Boost is not automatically enabled for Xbox Series X gamers. For all tit...
