@Darthv72
What i find hilarious and quite hypocritical, is Sony put Playstation games on TV's well before Xbox have, but then it was ok, now it is the demise of the xbox console as we know it.
Last time i checked Playstation still released a console, even after being on TV's/Mobiles/handhelds and PC's
Everyone saw it coming, because it has been the messaging from Xbox for years now.
They have always pushed the message that gamers should be able to play great games on any device they wish.
I don't know how much more clearer they can be.
"Battlefield 2042 Looks F**king Bananas"
Well they sure are treating their fanbase as monkeys.
Sir Phil, do us proud Sunday lad!!
I don't think it will (much) they seem to have very good programmers to get games scaled correctly.
I see in the future different tiers of options :-
Traditional power console - top end features/graphics
Entry console - Mid range features/graphics
Streaming devices, TV's/mobile etc - Low end features/graphics
Something for all gamer types across the world.
@Father_Merrin
It would be great if the UK got the direct conversion prices, games would end up being around £49 max, it is like a UK gamer's wet dream.
Currently we will have to spend £64.99, and that includes no battle pass/year 1 pass. To get all the goodies it is currently £98 on the xbox store, rip off for a MP game imo.
This "last xbox console" has been thrown around since the xbox one launch, and here we are 4 consoles later.
Xbox will never abandon a traditional home console, their strategy is to reach all types of gamers, not abandon a userbase because you can now "stream".
So this "integration with TV's" will simply be Xcloud on a TV, so the games you can stream to your phone today, the same will apply for the TV's with this bui...
Why would the console go anywhere?
They would not launch a console with the moniker "series" if they planned on not continually releasing hardware.
They are more focused on gamers in general, shown by the strategy of reaching as many gamers as possible.
I do not think they are that concerned about who shifts the most hardware, they are and have always been a software and services company.
Their end game is reaching billions of gamers, regardless of device, they are not just "taking on Sony", but taking on Google and Apple with the same strategy.
Not bad, 4 games a year?
Twice as many as we normally get /s
Edit : just having a bit of fun, excited to see what xbox has in store for us gamers, roll on Sunday :p
Price tag should be condemned, article says "but on xbox one and ps4 it is still $59.99"
Yes your correct, but you fail to say if you want the battle pass/year 1 pass/extras, that is pushed straight up to $100
For a MP game?
Nah, pass on this one
COD has a single player campaign though, even COD did not try and sell just the MP for $70
F2P in the future? but $70 now?
Well i will just hold out for the F2P model.
Might be the best option, i think the only way i am getting this is if it is on gamepass, like the rumours are stating.
even if it is though it will be the barebones vanilla edition with skins/year 1 pass as DLC extras.
Also if you want the "skins" and Year 1 pass etc, it is £100 in the UK, that converts to $140.
Zero chance of me paying that for a MP only game.

So to get the game and year 1 pass etc, it will set you back £100 in the UK.
My opinion on this? no chance

Can't believe they have the stones to put a $70 tag on a multiplayer mode.
Motorsport has been beta tested, with another public test due in september.
Horizon has not even been shown.
Odds are Motorsport is the closer to release.
I do not think so, not sure why they would showcase Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon 5 at the same event, especially when playground are hard at work on Fable.
I would take this with a mug of salt rather than a pinch.
@Darkborn
"It will when Microsoft wants to actually make a profit for once with Xbox. The console hardware never made a cent of profit since the original Xbox, gamepass has never made profit, most first party titles don't make profit, their recent acquisitions and the ones a few years ago never made profit. Are they a charity company now?"
So you think they will go all cloud? no hardware? good luck on trying to stream a next-gen game at Nati...
