Seems the truth gets disagrees these days. I think people are getting the buttons mixed up.
But yeah Xbox's User Interface (Home screen) has always been 1080p.
We do not need resources wasted just to have a UI that we probably spend 3 seconds on when starting the console to be 1080p.
We use the mini guide to navigate and very rarely go to the home UI.
Would be a complete waste of resources.
Exactly Gamist2dot0!!!
Yet the Xbox One X UI is 1080p, how is this news when it was exactly the same this gen lol.
It looks like another attempt to paint the Series X/S in a bad light, the heating issues have now been debunked after the embargo was lifted, so they had to find something else.
And every xbox owner knows the UI is always 1080p and has no need to be any higher.
A UI holding next gen back? lol
Every Xbox UI is always 1080p
Xbox UI's have always been 1080p.
This is not news. There is no need for the UI to be 4K.
Very good to know, this guy did an excellent stress test, tried to force the Series X to overheat by placing something over the exhaust.
So i do not expect any mass overheating issues like those dudes were claiming not too far back.
What are they charging for it?
"I also haven’t noticed any significant heat coming from the top of the Series X, nor has it ever been too hot to touch. It’s very similar heat to what I experience exhausting out of the back of my Xbox One X or my giant gaming PC."
Kinda squashes them overheating rumours.
26 Days!!!
What? The Series X has a HDMI 2.1 port, and they were using an LG CX OLED which is a HDMI 2.1 compatible TV.
"Dirt 5 looked absolutely stunning running in 120Hz with a dynamic 1440p resolution on the HDMI 2.1 compatible 55-inch LG CX OLED television LG provided me with."
Very neat. I like the screen share feature where you can watch what your friends are playing whilst playing your game.
No concern here, i would just like articles to mention all platforms something is available on to offer clarity for us gamers not in the loop.
Ah right. I think they need to word things better these articles.
They should have added "at a later date" to the end of the statement or something like that.
I don't see the point of having 1 platform have it on disk, and the other has to download?
It reads like the only platform getting the Raytracing is the Series X/S, that is why it is a title update, otherwise all versions would have it on the disc.
**Ray tracing will be included in the Xbox Series X and Series S versions as part of a downloadable title update.
What about PS5?
Well to be fair, both camps are doing full BC this gen.
It is a plus for both as people who preorder either the PS5 or Series X, will still be playing their old games on the new hardware. (unless gamers are suddenly going to lose interest and trade in every single PS4/Xbox One game?) which to be perfectly honest, is more or less 100% of the launch lineup on either console.
Both launch lineups are cross-gen, so this "Literally everybody who's buyi...
LOL
" If you can honestly say that what you see is worth the price of a $500 console then I can completely understand why Microsoft’s marketing team thinks they’re killing it."
Now come on, who buys a $500 console for a last gen game?
Your going to have to try and troll harder than that
I am one of them that always gets launch consoles, regardless of lineup lol.
I still have a back catalogue of over 280 games to work through, and these will just transfer straight over to the Series X.
I can then trade in the One X, and get around £145 credit, so the Series X will essentially only cost me £300.
For me, it is a justifiable purchase.
I am also liking the look of the Medium which is released in...
That will be different for everyone, some gamers will get PS5 and think it is justified, some will wait.
some gamers will get series X and think it is justified, some will wait.
Everyone will have their own justification timescale. I do not need to be convinced of justifying my purchase, i can do that myself.
"When will it be justified?
That's the burning
question, just seems not worth it."
5) PS5 UI resolution - same as PS4 Pro
6) XSX UI resolution - same as Xbox One X
