I never claimed anything to be true, i simply made an assumption that it is not using the velocity architecture as the file size is exactly the same as the xbox one and steam versions.
Common sense would come to the conclusion, they are the same compression techniques.
I can not find anywhere, either xbox, nor the control developers state they are using the velocity architecture for the Series X version, whereas they have stated they are using the Kraken/...
"That is referring to the availability of the game."
So Halo master chief collection is also "in development"? And how come control is not listed as "available"? No, that column is for the availability of any enhancements for the games as detailed above the list when they say they "will update the list as and when there are any updates to their capabilities"
Why would you have a "coming soon" and "in ...

"The Game Pass version is not the Ultimate Edition and is not optimized for XSX."
The image you posted is not the ultimate edition either is it?
"How do you know the game is not using VA again?"
With Control (base) and Ultimate Edition being exactly the same storage amounts across the board of consoles and PC (xbox one, series S, Series X, Steam) you can reasonably surmise, that all editions are using the same file s...
Like i said, i was not 100% on it, "chances are" and "as far as i can find" kind of gave that away.
I looked at the game on xbox.com, and there was no optimised for series x tag listed under capabilities on the game :-

Unlike Forza Horizon 4 :-
Chances are Sony have made it a requirement to utilize the new compression for PS5 games, whereas Microsoft have not. Not much news here. That most probably explains the difference, as far as i can find control is not using Microsoft's velocity architecture.
Hence why there is no "optimised for series S|X" on this game.
It isn't using the velocity compression, that is why the file size is the same as the xbox one.

Yep, no doubt this will be spun by a certain crowd to read
"Development issues are rife at the initiative"
@Darkborn
In other words, when you are playing, you can not simply press say R1 to open a rift anywhere in the game, the transition to another world (which will be fully explorable) through a rift, is only available through a scripted moment in the game.
A scripted moment in a game, is where the same thing will happen at the same point in a game. Please see description below :-
"In video games, a scripted sequence is a pre-defined ...

How are Sony going to get around the Series S bottlenecks? /s
Orchard and RazzerRedux are former employees of Sony Interactive Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios respectively.
On topic, all this technical talk is getting me damp.
I agree on the discless Series X, i can see why they wanted a budget console. I think the Series S will be restricted in terms of game performance/resolution (this is already evident in some games, especially The Medium @ 900p). It's like they want the Series S to compete with Switch, and Series X to compete with PS5, simply put, you can not have the best of both worlds lol.
I think the Series X will be fine development wise, but the Series S will not be able to match a...
Destruction Derby was a top game back in the day, one of my first purchases on PC, along with the good old tomb raider lol.
For 6 months, 12 on console.
Xbox articles get nuked for claiming something to be "exclusive" when it is "timed". A load of nonsense if you ask me. I'll just wait for the Series X launch :-p
That is what i mean, people say Series X is struggling, holding back design.
I simply am asking for an example? I do not recall a game that has been held back design wise, nor where the Series X is "struggling".
I would agree, but so far there is no evidence to display this said "holding back" in games.
Why is it not the same?
Mojang is a studio of Microsoft (Xbox Game Studios), with their logo on the box
San diego studios/Playstation studios are studios of Sony (SIE), with their logo on the box (PlayStation Studios is a newly formed umbrella brand for its 1st party titles)
sounds the same to me.
And all development costs, either way any future sales will be profit.
Lol, the game is the same across both platforms, the only addition is the dualsense support.
Sony soon to be a 3rd party publisher on Xbox lmao.
