I'm running 8gbs more for music and video production than gaming, will probably chuck another 8 in at some point.

I feel sorry for Crytek tbh - it wouldn't of been so bad if it was leaked with all the graphics features, but having a version floating around that's DX9 only isn't going to be great publicity.
Having said that, the game looks pretty good considering it's just using DX9, will see how it really performs/looks in a couple of hours.

You're missing the point. They aren't just wanting the people who are pushing the code around the net - now they're going after people who have commented or viewed a video.
That's not perpetrating a crime - that's watching and commenting on a video. It in no way can or should be tied to the court case, as the people they're going after have done nothing wrong.

I'm not sure what's happening with the DX HD mod - haven't looked into it in ages, as it seemed like it was never going to be completed. I did a playthrough last year and will do another one before HR arrives, and tbh I enjoy having it look and feel the way it does.
A nice HD remake would be nice, but isn't necessary. Same with Thief actually.
I know what went wrong - it was fucking terrible.
Having an absolute fail demo didn't help the cause. I was somewhat on the fence before that - quickly fell off of the fence and went back to another ME2 playthrough.
Lets face it - with that kind of head, it's pretty easy to act dumb.

I tend to agree.
Without a doubt BF3 will have deeper, longer lasting MP than whatever CoD comes out. But as far as sales go, I can't see CoD being beaten anytime soon.
People can say that because of what happened with the PS3 and Blops sales will be down, but you can counter that with BF3 only offering 24 player MP on consoles compared to the 64 on PC.
I'd love to be wrong, I just don't think it'll happen in this case.
This is another reason as to why Blizzard are cool.
Would of preferred access to a Diablo 3 beta instead though lol.
