I agree, UE3 is nice for interiors, but CryEngine does outside space amazingly well, esp with destructible terrain and buildings

Of course digital distribution is the future, and I do think whilst optical media won't be "obsolete" in 5 years I do think HD storage and downloads will have taken over completely. We already have PCs in the lounge, in 5 years time it'll most likely be the norm to have a HD Video player which connects to "a service" in order to let you download movies and other programmes...BT for example have alread...
This is so stupid, I hate the fact developer make their lead female characters ALWAYS have huge breasts, it really makes game players look like a bunch of sad geeks - no wonder female gamers stay away with such sexist drivel.

Yeh its actually a UT2K4 mod, it won the make something unreal compo in 2004/2005
The difference is that 360 is peer to peer rather than server driven, which means effectively the host client is providing the "server" and their upload bandwidth will limit the player numbers. I am surprised that CoD3 managed 24 players tbh...still you dont need huge battles to make things fun, just look at GoW

I think your processor is fine, but you'll also need a GFX card and 512Mb ram.
Red Orchestra is without a doubt the best WW2 multiplayer FPS in that last 3 years...so much so I am working on the mod Mare Nostrum for it.
NO reason i can think of why an MMO couldn't be done on a console, in fact I'm sure one is for the PS3 in The Agency: http://www.computerandvideo...
But since MMOs center around community you would defo need a keyboard.

If you want realistic, check out Red Orchestra on the PC, its a fantastic multiplayer game with pretty realistic gore considering its built on UE2 tech.

I really enoyed the demo, the british humour is spot on, and its really funny bossing yout little minions around! I like the fact its a Teen rating and they haven't gone for the overly gorey route other games do, there is no need for an M rating in this game, and it means if my kids walk in I dont have to switch it off suddenly (like i Di with GoW all the time!).
I am tempted to buy this but Alan wake is just around the corner...
