So because similar oppression occurs in other countries means we should ignore what's going on here? I don't understand that point. And what do you mean by "reality?"
You calling for their voice not to be heard is an offense they're not even guilty of: censorship.
And where are these "frightened" developers? By that logic, shouldn't the Witcher be void of what the review complained about out of fear that the review would c...
Poisonous to the industry? Get over yourself. The writer had a specific reaction to the game and is entitled to their opinion.
There is nothing wrong with criticizing a game because you find to be lacking in diversity. And whether you think it's a bad thing or not, there is no denying that most media is dominated by white, straight, male protagonists. Additionally, there is no denying that Western history has a seriously bad track record of treating minorities poorly--an...
It wasn't published under Creative Commons; they have no obligation to permit you to alter their product. Don't like it? Start pushing for games to be created under an open gaming license.
Hardly a surprise. They were always impossible to get in touch with, and seemed to have no clue how to promote their brand in a positive and encouraging way.
Drow with horns. Great.
Problem solved.
Or you could host your mods on your own site and charge nothing?
Fuck this game.

This has been one of my observations as well. The people I've met who play Destiny would not have really been into games 10-15 years ago.
EDIT: I should say, rather, the people who play Destiny and don't understand or get the criticisms against it.
Stop blaming the victims, you hacking apologist.
Hated this game. Deleted it within an hour of installing it. It blows.
