Anyone getting this game has definitely "sold" themselves.
This isn't a comic site.
When you see stuff like this, you have to ask yourself: "why do I know this?" Make no mistake about it, this is an intentional piece of news designed to get people to buy the expansion, invest more in this game, or rationalize the presence of microtransactions.
"So let’s start off by talking about the macho man attitude of the frontier and the West. Well, if you weren’t a hard, salt of the earth man…you were dead. That’s it, really."
Wow, what a thorough and seemingly well researched dive into mid-western masculinity in the early 1900s. /S
Oh most definitely!
Womp womp! Ain't getting any more money outta me, Bungie/Activision. I bought D2 + Season Pass and was sorely disappointed. I can't in good conscience give them any more money for this franchise. Enough is enough.
I take your point well. I think you very well may be right; I think what had happened in XV was that it just had a cast of characters and a premise that clicked with people in a way that XIII just missed.
Neither were very good Final Fantasy games. The last true FF game was IX, and X & XII were interesting departures from the form. XIII and XV are too removed to be considered Final Fantasy games in any way other than sharing name; the difference between XV and XIII is that XV turned out to be a flawed-but-solid piece of gaming, while XIII is just a headache.
Only "110k copies" in a "niche" market? Unbelievable how this is interpreted as a "flop." Industry standards are such garbage.
Well I feel much better about hesitating to hit that buy button...
Na na na na, na na na na, hey, heyyyy....
Fool me once that your sequel will address all the problems, shame on you, fool me again...ain't gonna happen. Peace, Destiny, you're not welcome in my gaming lifestyle anymore.
Good for her. Hopefully she's able to find a place for her talents to thrive.
Yes it is. Just like most of our lives.
Can't wait to see how many people get aggressively angry over this.
I hope they reconsider making it FPS-only. While I certainly want a sci-fi RPG in first person--especially to replace the slightly disappointing experience of modern Deus Ex titles--I have to say that seeing this game in action was a little underwhelming. A third person option would be nice and given their reputation, I don't think delaying the game a bit more to make sure it's a polished third-person option (not the sort of lame experience found in Elder Scrolls) would work out well ...
"So many great games released every day"? What world are you living in? Sure, we have a number of great titles these days--and I hate to sound like this--but there's a charm, magic and essence that's in older games when these weren't such massive corporate entertainment mediums and didn't have to meet accelerated profit desires of shareholders.
Everything is political, children.

I disagree. Too much power in the hands of one distributor is never a good thing.
Still doesn't belong on a gaming news site. Plenty of other stuff gets voted off this site for not being related to gaming; just because this dude came up with a popular picture book doesn't mean he should get coverage here.
