I'm torn on this subject. As I play through it more deeply, I get the sense that this is the result of the new mission and narrative structure. While it can be argued that the sub-plot involving Mantis and Liquid feels unresolved, Venom Snake's story is more or less present from start to finish.

The plot wasn't smart enough to have a woman problem. It was void of anything we could base a critical theory on. I was at the premiere and asked a question of the director during a Q&A regarding real world politics and how it may have played a role in informing and inspiring the plot. I was basically given an answer along the lines of "We wanted fans to relate to Nyx and see that he's really good with magic and can do cool fighting moves."

Read through this and just can't seem to understand the perspective of the author. Avoiding interviews and other information seems silly with a game that we knew so little about and was aiming to be ambitious in a very experimental way. This isn't a Call of Duty game, or something where we know what to expect, it was something new--so you should've done your research (especially since, oh I don't know, you write for a gaming website??)

The more information b...

This is exactly the reason I'm not too thrilled about the remaster. It should've be Oblivion/Morrowind first. Fortunately for me I only every played the main story and a couple of side quests in Skyrim, so I'll have a lot more to do in this remaster. For those I know who have sunk a good portion of their lives into it, I don't know what the redeeming quality will be exactly.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a version of the PS4 with the external box for VR inside, this way you just plug the headset right into the machine...though that would create yet another SKU for the VR (just the headset on its own).

I really doubt Sony (and Microsoft too with these rumors) is going to do something that will fragment the console market...then again, the video game industry is filled with terrible business choices.

Sexuality is a part of the human condition; games are an art form extending said condition: It matters. We live in a diverse, vibrant world full of all kinds of people and it's awesome to see more and more representation.

No way. I struggle with Dark Souls/Bloodborne, but that's what the game is about, and I understand and respect that. I'm also someone who loves to play a game without worrying about difficulty so that I can soak in the experience, but with the Souls games, I know that I have to earn that right through practicing and mastering the game mechanics--it wouldn't be as special without it. The game becomes formidable, daunting and terrifying because of that, while other people see it as ...

No game that I can call to mind has done this before. It's not a perfect 1:1 recreation as some streets are missing, but unless you actually go and countdown each street, you wouldn't notice--and I was born and raised here. This is ultimately a 95% recreation of midtown. What makes it crazier is that we have snow right now in New York, so when I'm out running errands it feels like I'm in the game.
I'm not fully sold on the gameplay yet, but this damn map blows me ...

Oh please. How is this any different from the old World of Warcraft ads that everyone seemed to love.
"Pay off?" It's advertising people. Stop acting like children. Next time you watch a video game "trailer" keep in mind that such a video really is nothing more than advertising aimed at getting you excited to buy a game--not saying I don't love trailers--but that's what it is.

Grow up.

Everything is resolved in MGS4. MGSV as Kojima has said, completes the circle.

The ending was wonderfully artistic. Anyone with experience in literature, critical theory and philosophy should be satisfied or understand the direction it was aiming for.

Mass Effect 3 had a botched ending--unless the indoctrination theory is true--this game does not.

Or creative decisions were made as the game neared completion? There's an alternate ending to The Shining that very few people have ever seen--and it's not available anywhere, there's only some pictures and bits and pieces of it around:

Would we say The Shining is incomplete? A...

I love the controller. But the weaker thumbsticks and battery life really stops it from being the "best ever"

There's nothing wrong with a quality linear game. What plagued The Order was that it felt like a strange combination of Heavy Rain and Gears of War, but without any of the qualities that make those too games work well.

Unless Microsoft bought Nintendo, there is no conceivable way this would work out well for them.

All 3k+ of those who signed this petition better not buy the games when they come out.

They're the 1% haha.

Also, I don't understand the disagrees my comment got lol. Console game sales are what drives the industry, that's an indisputable fact!

Console gamers are working-class gamers. We drive the industry.
