Score the game lower because Sony decided not to give a deal? I didn't like the no upgrade option either but poor business practices on Sony's part shouldn't reflect poorly on the work that Naughty Dog did making this game. That just makes no sense at all.
That's why the author is quick to point out it isn't a top 10 list. A top 10 retro list is super subjective! He simply states that these are 10 games well worth playing if you're a fan of retro titles and he's right. I've played every last one of them... and they're all fantastic!
I'm having a hell of a time trying to figure out why anyone would disagree with your comment.
You won't always love gaming!! I DISAGREE!!!!
I guess there's always one a$$hole in every crowd right? In the case of N4G there's usually an abundance!
I programmed my very first game on a Vic20 in Basic... it's been a crazy road since! I've owned damn near every console and am now in the position of making a living as a full fledged journalist in the gaming industry!
At 37 years old I'm often one of the oldest guys in the room at meetings and events but I'm still not too old to teach all them whippersnappers a lesson and give 'em a digital beatdown! lol
Exactly my point! They're stopping just short of calling it what it really is which is console exclusive DLC. Even for someone who has both consoles I'm not sure I really like that trend. A 30 day timed won't kill anyone that's for sure but this is over the top.
I'll be playing this on my PS4 but even I think that XB1 owners are getting a raw deal on this one. I'm OK with exclusive content to an extent but a year long hold off for XB1 is a bit much. They won't even be playing it by then!
I keep getting told how good the Tales series is and it's one of the few JRPGs I've never really tried. Now might be the time!!
What does the country of origin have to do with anything? You know what... maybe you're right. All Canadians know about are hockey, poutine, beer, maple syrup and getting nasty with their socks on... THEY CAN'T BE TRUSTED!
At the end of the day it's JUST AN OPINION KIDS. Try not to get your panties burnin' so hard, you'll singe your meat curtains!
Bubble up! Who says the N4G community is a bunch of jerks!?!? lol
Oh hell no! The Colts is my kid's hockey team and his jersey is 15.
Lol.... Indianapolis Colts!
I want to agree with you... but your name is CorndogBurglar.
GODDAMNIT I CAN'T TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY!! Hahaha!
OH MY GOD YOU ARE ON THE CUTTING EDGE OF NEWS! WE ARE TOTALLY THROWING YOU A PARADE.
Ok, totally being a smart ass! I really can't help myself. I only found out about it today from an official press release. I imagine the rumors have been floating for a while then?
Lol, notice the name change of the article when you actually click it.
Just as Bad as it Sounds.... much more fitting!
Not trying to sound like a douche or anything but did anyone actually read the article? Lots of comments about DLC and paying for it in general but nothing about the real meat of the article which is the move towards console exclusive DLC.
Not that everyone isn't making great points but no one is touching on what the article is really about! haha
It's made by DrinkBox Studios... good ole maple syrup slurpin' Canadians!
Both Guacamelee! and Cuphead developed by good Canadian kids too... see, a diet of beer, poutine and maple syrup isn't all bad. Look at all the imagination we have up here north of the border!
After reading some comments the fella who submitted UFC as his choice decided to pull it from the article.
In his words - Although I agree with some of your points here, the bottom-line is that I have played past UFC games, over the years from THQ, and although EA's looks fabulous, the time I spent with it in demo form (a full night) just
didn't cut it for me like the past games. Many of the aspects had too much familiarity and I really did expect more from th...
Everyone is always so quick to forget that these are all opinions from various people. Just because you loved something and thought it was great or under appreciated doesn't mean someone else is wrong in thinking opposite of you. I mean it's no different than yelling at someone because they hate pepperoni pizza and you love it. How silly would that be?
*sigh* its, not it's... totally just grammar nazi'd myself!
That's a huge stretch Mac! Not that many games get a treatment like 'The Last of Us' did. We're also talking about one of the best received games in recent years that was pushing the limits on the last generation console mere months before the launch of the new one. It's a special circumstance and a deserving one too, especially considering how drastic the changes are.
I really don't think we need to worry about the lack of new IPs this generation. To ...
