Last time I lost a game on COD4, I got so angry that I mercilessly slaughtered hundreds of ants...and a few butterflies too. Oh, and I also played GTA: San Andreas a few years back.
On a more serious note, this guy obviously has serious mental issues. It's pathetic that people are trying to pin the blame on video games. Don't put the blame on the game, blame his parents, blame his temper and mainly his drinking & psychological disorder.

I hope in the near future we'd be able to experience truly open-ended gameplay + storytelling. That would be the ultimate gaming dream. For now, it looks like we have to make do with the linear pre-defined stories. Oh well.....
True. Storytelling in-game is so powerful that half of the time I didn't realize I was playing a game, like in Warcraft 3, PoP: Sands of Time, Thief 3, The Witcher, etc.
That said, gameplay is just as important. Without storytelling & gameplay gelling together, a game feels incomplete and hollow.

Dead Space is NOT scary or creepy in the least. A much better choice would be Thief 3: Deadly Shadows.
