Which is what IW did to MW2 PC version. Not only did they dumb it down, they added a middle finger to it as well. Screw em'. BC2 is gonna be so much better, although noobs will blindly follow MW2 to death.
Ummm....Maybe it's because they aren't getting any.
If that means they're gonna make it "n00b friendly", then, no thanks. The series is done for anyway. Airborne was flat at best. I don't think it's ever gonna reach the heights it did with Allied Assault.
Too bad for the 1500 ex-employees. Hope they land another job soon.
Game project-wise, it could actually be a blessing in the long run. Focusing on games with higher probability of success doesn't sound all that bad, that is, if you neglect the current situation. Oh well, now they're gonna need us more than ever, which is a good opportunity for us.
Got you there, didn't I? :P You'd be shocked at how many times I usually backtrack on my comments.
On Topic - You found the anti-MW2 attitude to be funny. It most definitely is NOT. Two years is a lot in the gaming industry. Even when COD5 came out, it was accused of having little to no improvements from COD4. Now COD6 is still stuck in that time-frame. Don't get me wrong, I loved COD4 as well. But to pay a full price for something that is barely worth a DLC price, that's plain s...
PC sets the benchmarks for gaming as a whole. Anyone who thinks PC gaming is pointless is blind. Most of the beloved genres currently on consoles were made popular by the PC gamers. Next-gen graphics are determined by PC games. Heck, every damn game is developed first using the PC. So that is mostly why my fanboyism rises when I see retarded comments like "PC gaming should die", "consoles have best graphics", "who needs PC?", etc.
Edit - Nice hairsty...
Sad but true. I guess in the end, it's always gonna come down to the profit factor. But that doesn't justify the s**t that IW did. There is a huge difference between simply wanting profit and showing the finger to your fanbase.
"....With next-generation consoles like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360..."
I'm sorry, what? As good as those may be, they don't qualify as 'next-gen' anymore.
On Topic - Good list. Except, I'm a bit skeptical about Blizzard. They're okay now, but Activision may eventually corrupt them like they did with IW.
Edit - I've just noticed the list is numbered as 5,4,4,2,1. Is that deliberate or a typo?
I don't understand why people are still so hyped for this game after all the s**tty things the devs did to the game. There is absolutely nothing revolutionary about MW2 other than the fact that there are so many idiots blindly worshiping it.
Linear shooter, small maps, same OLD graphics, short campaign, n00b friendly multiplayer(eg: Death Streak), mods removed, dedicated servers removed, price hike, etc. It really is MW-1.5, and for PC gamers it's MW-0.5
I doubt well be seeing Future Warfare anytime soon. Dear old Blobby wouldn't want to miss a single drop of milk from this franchise. So I reckon it's probably gonna go upto MW8 before they move on to Future Warfare 1-5, which will probably be followed by Space Warfare 1-6. And after that they'll probably go back to Stone Warfare 1-4. That is, if good ol' Blobby hasn't already choked to death on his own fat by then.
COD4 was 2 years ago. MW2 has nothing new except a few new maps and another 5 hour campaign. And for PC gamers, it has even less content than COD4 did. So tell me, Why the F**K should we pay more money for that?
It's either they suck up to him or they don't get funding for "Milking Wankfare 3".
Dear Infinitely Wooden-heads, don't you have any form of self-respect?
Why would you try to combat piracy by increasing the game price and removing vital components from the game? How is that supposed to stop piracy and bring back customers?
They're just being greedy pricks. They're already making huge profits from the PC version. Otherwise, they'd stop developing for the PC a long time ago.
In fact, they're the ones who're demanding more money from us for less content. By your reasoning, we have every right to be pissed off.
As much as I love Valve, they should return to their silent ways. If they don't want to develop for the PS3, they should just say so. All their bullc**p excuses and bad-mouthing the PSN isn't gonna help matters.
It's insulting that certain people still refer to football as "soccer". There is no "soccer". There is real "football" and then there is "American football". The meaning of the word "soccer" has nothing in common with kicking a spherical ball using your feet.
In fact, it is the "American football" that should be called "soccer". They use their hands 90% of the time and still have the nerve to claim the word &qu...
And what exactly would a "true xbox360 fan" know? That blurry images make for great bragging rights, perhaps?
Oh I know. They're going to steal another PC exclusive and claim it to be 360 exclusive. Then, they'll charge $150 for XLive and pay out more dough for "timed" exclusives.
Face it, Microsoft. You've lost the console war. Come back to PC gaming where you can start making up for all the s**tty things you pulled on us for the past 7 years.
lol.....exactly what is new that they bring to the table? MW1.5 with a few new maps and another 5 hour campaign? That is hardly "influential".
You still play on the RROD-360?
That is sooooo 2005.....
In the beginning, it was interesting. Then, after an hour or so it became repetitive as hell. I don't care whether they change the artwork, combat style, backstory, etc. I just want more gameplay variety. Sitting through the whole game was a torture, just like AC1.
