Well, with Gigabit internet speeds finally becoming more common, a digital future doesn’t seem nearly as bad as it did back in 2013. Obviously the telecommunications network in the US needs a lot more work, and hopefully NN is able to make a comeback, but progress is being made to where an all digital future could actually work.
Yeah, but they’re not nearly as bad about it as some companies, and they’re still putting a huge emphasis on delivering games that don’t include any of those things. The worst Sony has done on the MT front is cosmetic items. PS+ is the reason why PSN is a much stronger network than it was last gen. If I’m being honest, I actually like DLC things packs, especially when they are worthwhile add-ones to already complete games, like Frozen Wilds or Left Behind. If Sony continues to use these thing...
The fact that you’ve gotten multiple disagrees proves there are plenty of MS corporate slaves around these parts, despite the usual rhetoric that this is a Sony fanboy site.
This is no different than people who say “if you don’t game on Xbox, you’re not a gamer”.
I like video games, but SoT really really strike me as something I’d enjoy. It looks like something I might enjoy with friends for a few hours before immediately getting bored due to a lack of content. Obviously, I don’t know how much content the game will offer, but how far can they really go with the whole pirate setting? Pirates are cool, but they’re very limited in the game space,...
With the release of MHW, at least half of those have been sold already.
2.5 million shipped in 3 months to meet their forecast. I think they can do even better.
2018 is already looking to be an even better year for PS4 sales, with the already much stronger lineup of both exclusives and third party titles. If the next CoD is the rumored BO4, PS4 having an even stronger year is in the bag.
Did you miss the part where their hardware sales are already up YoY? How convenient of you.
Doubtful. I don’t really know why Nintendo fans are pushing for those to be 2018 titles. Those games would far better off with longer dev cycles. 2019 works perfectly for both.
Survive? Of course. Dominate the sales charts? Hard to say. Even with the portability factor, Switch is not the third party title platform of choice for the vast majority of gamers. Even with better third party support, the games will not sell very well. Besides Animal Crossing, I don’t think Nintendo’s first party lineup for 2018 is going to be nearly as strong as it was in 2017, ie there’s not really any games that will push a lot of consoles.
Two completely different games that are incredible in their own ways. I’m am extremely stoked for TLoU2, but the UC franchise will always be special to me. Huge fan of both.
It would be the worst thing that could happen to PC gaming. MS would then own a monopoly on the PC, because let’s be honest that Orign and BlizzNet make up very little of the PC player base. Of course, MS would then bring back paid subscription services for PC gaming, they could technically charge whatever they want.
I would honestly prefer a full sequel.
Holy buhjebus Batman... that means it sold over a million at launch on PS4, alone...
Still seems like one of those things that inevitable, and it’s gonna happen really soon if it hasn’t happened yet, so I don’t see the point in going crazy over the semantics.
And there’s another one.
Not even remotely true. MS trying to kill off retailers is another attempt at removing options for how people buy and play their games, so they can go back to pushing their DRM-locked hardware, as well as further push GaaS. Fun fact: corporations are not your friend; letting them control how you do something is never going to be “good” for you.
If someone is going to bitch about the graphical settings of a PS4 exclusive, they should buy a damn PS4 Pro. What a moron this dingleberry is.
If UC4 was like watching a movie, then Gears 4 was like staring at a picture. Gears 4’s campaign literally put me to sleep with how dry, repetitive, linear, and boring it was. That game is the definition of a “cinematic crap”.
Unless Nintendo’s weaker first party lineup for 2018 proves that it can still sell so well, Switch hasn’t won anything. Switch will never own the third party market, so the chances are incredibly slim.
