Yeah, but who cares? In third gen, Gardevior could be male, and that is a Pokemon that literally looks like a woman in a long dress.
Im pretty sure Gears 3 was more like 12 hours, mostly because I remember a lot of comparisons between it and Uncharted 3's 9 hour long single player. 9 hours is by no means bad. I was just expecting maybe an hour or 2 longer. Either way, day 1 buy for me.
It's not bad, but games like Uncharted 4 and DOOM have single player modes that are 15 and 13 hours, respectively.
9 hours? Seems a bit short compared to previous ones. Glad to hear some initial praise. Was worried that Coalition might completely screw it up like People Can Fly did...
Well, we all should've figured out that MS's whole reason for opening a new studio just for Gears, and creating an entire new saga, that this wouldn't somehow be the last Gears. I expect at least 2 more in the future.
@Razyre2 Funny how Xbone wins a couple NPD's and all of the sudden Xbone is king of the west, isn't it? People just completely ignore the fact that PS4 is still almost 2 million units ahead of Xbone in the US, and in the UK theyre basically neck and neck. Hell, the only reason why the last 2 NPD's were in Xbone's favor is because of MS practically giving away OG Xbones, and marketing the S as if it were some brand new console. People keep talking about PS4 Slim sales being beh...
That's because PS4 Pro doesn't just do upscaling from some random low resolution like the Xbone S. It upscales it from 1440p (or 2x HD), and then uses a special technique to fill in the missing pixels. It's designed to present the closest result to native 4K, while not putting excess amounts of stress on the hardware. Since guys like DF are praising it to the skies, I'm very inclined to believe it will look phenomenal.
Also, when will people drop the act th...
It is pretty fun. I'm having to take a break from UC4 MP right now though. I'm just a smidge away from Level 55, and I'm basically burnt out. I really do want to get back in and earn those new DLC weapons though. Some of them look awesome.
Well, when you're a bunch of d-bags who think you can make it big by abusing the system and stealing from others, it's only fitting when you get what's coming to you. Here's some advice: You want to keep food on the table and a roof over your family's head? Go get a job. Clearly, game design was never your forte, nor even your passion it seems. Stop acting like a bunch of princesses and go actually earn your money.
No. The only way to compare PS4 Pro to iPhone 7's lack of a headphone jack would be if Sony removed the Blu-Ray reader all together, and told people they would have to spend $100+ on a wireless external one. Another day, another crap comparison in the medias attempts to bash Sony and PS4, because god forbid we enjoy a product that is leading the charge. We're supposed to all be mindless hipsters... 'Scuse me while I go chug some Starbucks...
I honestly don't see how the UC4 petition was fanboyism. The petition was asking Metacritic, a site that prides itself on presenting people with PROFESSIONAL review scores for products, to remove a single review that was clearly UNprofessional, poorly written, and just an all around objectively bad review. I'll agree that people demanding the reviewer get fired was ridiculous, but the review had no reason being on Metacritic. If the person gave the game a 4/ 10, followed by a detailed...
Cant wait to see the PS4 Pro kill it in sales, and all the Xbots will go right back to "b-b-but... teh SCORPIOz!!!!"
My favorite classic space shooter. Loved playing this game through the years. I really hope it can make a comeback someday on PS4, and Namco releases one that goes against the norm like Galaga: Destination Earth.
They are like the picturesque definition of why people look at gamers and say "wow, you game? You must be a no-life tool". I mean, who the hell goes to GameStop and harasses kids for not buying the same thing they do?
I don't know... How often do you see Sony fans bitching out a developer to this extent, and canceling their game preorders, all because one person from the team posted a pic of an Xbone disc?
Honestly, you really don't hear much ridiculousness from the Sony camp ever since PS4 really took off. You snoop around Youtube a bit, and you find several Xbone fans, with a decent following, lying and doing some of the shadiest and ignorant crap.
The whole "it'll make you sick!" argument really just sounds like some last minute negative news that click bait basement dweller-run "gaming" sites are trying to get in before the device releases. Really seems like all these losers are trying to spin anything PS4 related in a negative way, for no real reason. Probably just the classic hipster "it's popular, so I have to hate it!" mentality doing it's work.
The whole attachment rate argument is BS, and you know it. By that logic, games that were shared between Xbone and 360/ PS4 and PS3 should have sold a lot more on the older consoles because they have a far larger install base. How many units a game sells is based on it's merit; Halo 5 wouldn't have sold much more than it did with an install base twice the size, nor would UC4 have sold less.
Of course, The Mooch commented. Xbone fans are becoming more and more like a cult of grown ass men acting like sad little children. It's a picture of a disc; grow the hell up. These imbeciles are literally trapped in a world where if anyone who isn't worshiping the same products they do, while pretending nothing else exists, is bias and evil and should disappear too. Freakin losers.
I went to Target today, and their "selection" of 4K BR discs was a handful of them on a small shelf, randomly mixed in with a bunch of regular BR's and DVD's. That tells me that retailers are taking the format seriously. I sincerely don't believe there's no market for the format, as disc media for film is dying, and everyone knows it. 4K BR are about as common, it seems, as HD DVD's were, and we all know how that ended. Streaming and digital purchases are just fa...
I don't think it's necessary to be quite be so dramatic about it... I mean, I'm sure development teams work long hours, days, and weeks to deliver their games to us, and more power to them, but that's their job. To say that AAA games are the equal to satan is to basically dismiss game development as a whole.
