If they force us to leave our characters behind, then I fail to see the point in buying it. Honestly, there really shouldn't even be a Destiny 2. Destiny has basically become the World of Warcraft for consoles, and telling people that all the money they spent on DLC, and the time building up their characters and weapons was all for nothing is just a huge kick in the balls. They need to continue expanding and building upon whats already there. If that means one massive expansion every 1 - ...
What is this based off of, exactly?
Definitely buying a PS4 Pro on it's release day.
Yeah, all 5 of those people are gonna be mad...
Can't wait to finally play this. Definitely my most anticipated game for the rest of this year.
Destiny has been worth playing since the beginning, and even more so after The Taken King. It's not a bad game, and if you put the time and effort into it, you'll find that it's a game with such insane amounts of content to pursue, that it takes a long time to actually finish. Plus, it's awesome if you play with good people.
You gotta love the Xbox fanboy youtube channels and click bait sites that somehow get their crap approved on N4G. They're so out of touch with reality and honestly believe they speak the opinions for everyone. The only reason to pay any attention to their content is if you have a lot of popcorn on hand and already blew through all your tagged shows on Netflix lol
@MasterCornholio Sony has actually sold over 3 million PS4 units in Japan. They passed that mark back in mid-July. With this news, it's probably around 3.3 million now.
Considering that an average hardware week in Japan for PS4 is >20K units, this is phenomenal. Awesome to see PS4 really catching on there. Might actually surpass the PS3 if Japanese devs continue to give it such strong support.
As much as I dislike Pachter, he's not wrong here.
I'm still buying the IW Legacy Edition to get both. Good news though.
This was kind of expected with MS doing such heavy marketing for the S, almost as if it were it's own console, and selling the vanilla Xbones so cheaply for stock clearance. I can see them beating Sony in September NPD, but with the PS4 slim releasing this month, I don't see the gap being nearly as big.
I've never been a Final Fantasy guy, so I can't really argue the point, but I was meaning to say a mainline FF game, and not an online one or HD remaster. I mean FFXV is going to push some serious numbers for PS4 in Japan.
I never said it doesn't occasionally happen the other way around, but it's a fact that it occurs a lot more on PC.
This is what I bring up every time PC gamers mention hardware; what's the point if so many AAA devs don't support PC, and put most of their effort into consoles? Sure, hardware is great, but it's seems like every week some big AAA title is having a shit load of problems.
With a true Final Fantasy and Persona game right around the corner, there's no reason why the PS4 won't start gaining some ground on PS3. One of the PS4's biggest issues since release is it's lack of Japanese-oriented titles, and Japanese devs preferring to work more on mobile instead.
It's the logical progression of things. Consoles have never been about this before, but hardware is evolving so quickly these days that 6 - 7 years is simply too long to keep a console fresh.
No exclusives, console blocks out basic features if you don't pay for their subscription service, best titles are indies, smaller communities that prevent online games from lasting very long, BC only works if you have XBL, and a very crappy home screen.
I can see certain games definitely getting both, provided they weren't 1080p/ 60 FPS to begin with. Not sure if there any games on PS4 with that issue, though. Every game seems to be either both or at least one of them.
I'll believe it when I see it. That being said, back in what race, exactly? I don't foresee the NX being in the same market as PS4 and Xbone, if the rumors about it hold true. It honestly sounds more and more like Nintendo is trying to remove themselves from dedicated home consoles all together.
