I have a PS3. I enjoy my PS3. I see no personal need for a 360. But Sony is wrong here...
1) Oompetitive pricing will be more important.
2) Better advertising will be more important.
3) More games will be more important.
4) A more unified online service will be more important.

I agree with you to an extent.
I think reviews need to be changed, and more dynamic. Gaming has changed. Now we can patch, get updates, add content (see Warhawk for a great example). The answer is to remove review scores, and focus on the review itself. No game is perfect, and every game has pros and cons. This needs to be taken into account I feel.
The problem with gaming today is that we have more complex hardware and HD visuals, which take longer/more work to create HD assets for. Larger poly models, better textures, etc. And dev cycles have not increased. They are the same length as always more often than not. That's bad.
No game is bug free, thats a fact. EVERY game has and will have bugs. However, it is inexcusable to release a title with an obvious, game breaking, show stopping bug. I'm sorry, it's just bad.

And a loss of $4 billion is STILL a loss of $4 billion. There's no way to spin that. If the company sees the sector taking heavy losses like that, regardless of total worth, they will be cut. That's something people seem to be forgetting.

No, if I wanted to deflect I could bring up any number of the game breaking bugs that Fable 2 shipped with. Amazing for such a quality AAA 360 exclusive to be so goddamn buggy as to break the game.

Socom was pushed out early, it should have been delayed. However, the gameplay is GREAT if you like this genre, and the game IS being fixed/patched. Which is more than I can say for SOME online titles...
