The articles title says its a good game, but then goes on to say the problem with the game was in fact the gameplay.
In fact I tend to agree with the article, TR needs puzzles, Lara croft has never been about killing bad guys to me, it's about discovery and exploring but ever since TR2 the body count has been steadily rising. Lara isn't a killer, she kills when absolutely necessary but she's an explorer not a murderer.
They need to sort this out...
Ill eat my hat if gran turismo launches on ps3. Especially as the next forza is as good as confirmed for the next gen Xbox.
Five reason why I don't care.
1. The single player campaigns are way too short
2. They've both got that whole "America **** yeah!!" Thing going on
3. Looking beyond the fancy graphics the gameplay is incredibly shallow.
4. Too many angry young boys who spend too much time playing online to contend with.
5. Modern warfare is boring and has been for a few years now.
History says they will release the console with shovelware anyway like all the previous consoles before it. All they have to do is knock up some family kinect game to keep the kids quiet Xmas day and port over a fifa and a grand theft and people will still queue up to buy the next Xbox.
Mass effect 2
I don't even need to read beyond the headline to state that this article is talking total and utter tripe. Anyone who thinks otherwise isn't a gamer or living in the real world.
When I first picked up a 360 pad I owned a ps2 at the time and I remember thinking this is a bit big, but then I eventually upgraded to the 360 and I have to say its an amazing controller and for me is totally superior to the duelshock.
I couldn't really care less about the D-pad. You only ever use it for menu navigation anyway these days. The analog sticks, the triggers and the ergonomics are the most important part and the 360 pad totally nails these three areas for me...
So it's basically the same as that old wii remote hack where you use the tracking to look around in a 3D space. I remember seeing the vids on youtube with the targets and the sports stadium. This could be pretty cool.
No thanks. Not if the price of their current on demand games service is anything to go by.
Lara's motivation is in saving her friends after it was her idea to sail in the direction that ultimately got them shipwrecked and also for fulfilling her potential described by Conrad Roth.
The motivation is quite obviously described in the flashbacks, batman begins did the same thing and didnt lay it all out in the first five minutes. Pointless article
I played crysis 2 and it looked pretty but I can't remember much about the game to be honest. Read into that what you like.
How can anyone be a "fan" of just one company. I had the 360 since release and I have been very happy with it, but if the 720 was an "always online" machine for playing local content I would have purchased a ps4 next gen without a doubt, and I may still do if the 720 falls short of what's on offer from Sony.
Basically I will just buy the best machine for the money that suits my needs the most. And anyone who buys a console that doesn't suit their n...
You're fired. Deal with it!
The problem is nobody is making engaging single player experiences in war shooters anymore. It's all about multiplayer which has alienated me for sure.
A really good (long) single player or co-op campaign in WW2 based on next gen tech would be amazing but I can't see it happening.
Story wise it's a benchmark for gaming in many ways and will be remembered and referenced for years to come but gameplay wise it was only slightly above average. I enjoyed it but saying its the best game this gen is going a bit far. I was wowed by the ending but It didn't put me through every emotion like the mass effect series did.
They've gone to get one in every living room but instead they've lost one in every bedroom. RIP Xbox
@sengoku. Nintendo tried moving away from the core gamers and after an initial success they have hit the cliff with the wii u. If Microsoft are following that business model then I wish them all the best.
Don't get your hopes up about this being one big rumour.
After years and years of being shafted by big corporate companies over things like micro-transactions, dlc that should have been in the game, so on and so forth I think it's great the gaming community has all come together to tell Microsoft unanimously that they are not putting up with this and we have an alternative option with the playstation brand.
I bet MS head honchos are in crisis talks now behind closed doors. Good, I hope they learn their lesson from this.
I didnt get max payne 3 being new to the series, and I grew tired of the gameplay after a couple of hours. There is literally nothing to do other than hide behind cover then jump sideways in slow mo and aim for a headshot. Ok there is a little variety in the combat but outside of this the game is just dead for me.
