Yesterday I would have been annoyed because this sounds awesome but my broadband only delivers 1mbps but today I've just ordered fibre so I'll be able to run this to its full potential without breaking sweat. Needless to say I'm pretty happy about this.
And this is why most developers don't try and attempt new experiences anymore and why every game nowadays is a call of duty clone or a cover based shooter.
Personally I think they were just waiting for the next gen consoles to hit the market because probably their vision for HL3 was something that wouldn't work on ps3 and xbox360.
I know HL was originally a PC title but if you quibble over the fact this has to release on all major platforms rather than just PC then you're fooling yourselves.
I bet behind closed doors this game has been laid out for a long time and it's been a case of waiting for the...
Yeah nobody bothers with single player games anymore. I mean grand theft auto 5 and the last of us were financial and critical flops weren't they? I know they had multiplayer but that's not the reason they were held in such high regard lets be honest.
In fact if anything I think people have got bored of multiplayer games and prefer a good story and experience. Games like dark souls and skyrim are proof of that recently where people can get lost in another world for a ...
She could look like dot cotton as long as they have some actual tombs to raid in the next game. The original tomb raider is still the best because it put exploration and discovery before shooting things. Cover based shooters need to be given a rest next generation anyway, the developers need to get imaginative with the gameplay, because im sick to death of seeing conveniently placed low walls and thinking oh here comes another wave of bad guys.
Nothing wrong with a bit of sh...
Nice list but really mass effect 2 should have not only been on the list but in the top 3. Strange omission but by and large this list is similar to mine
I enjoyed tomb raider reboot but having got half way through the original tomb raider on ios this week I realised how amazing that original game was and how much I missed those awesome tombs in the reboot.
They need to get back to that for the sequel and cut back on the shooting people aspect. That's not what tomb raider was and it's done in so many games now that it's just "old".
Not accurate as these figures don't factor in a forecast based on the projected success of the ps4 and the disaster of the wiiU as far asd nintendo are concerned for that matter.
Hipster
Tomb raider is fantastic. It's the original one and still the best. The App Store reviews say it has poor controls but they are probably too young to remember this was exactly how it is meant to be played. Precise jumps, heart in the mouth stuff and great puzzles with absolutely no hand holding or hints.
Classic raiding for 69p that beats probably all of these games on this list.
Lame list. Bioshock infinite was massively overrated as well. Good game great ending but ultimately like all the other bioshocks it's all smoke and mirrors as in the setting initially wows you then the gameplay becomes repetitive until the end.
I did exactly the same as in the article. I owned an Xbox 360 and recently bought a ps3 off a friend. Already I have played the last of us which was exceptional and are currently working my way through the uncharted series with heavy rain and ni no kuni to come next.
I will probably pick up a ps4 the middle of next year but there are so many new games to discover this way, if you only ever had one or the other of the last gen machines you would be mad not to, especially if yo...
Ironically since mass effect 3 was released role playing games have become ever more popular. Bioware or probably more likely EA backed the wrong horse.
Having said that I loved the mass effect series and I even liked the ending (although only got to see the adapted ending) I think it was largely misunderstood but if you got what they were trying to say it was powerful. I.E. There was never going to be a happy ending the universe repeats itself over and over, civilizations w...
If all games are going to be £54.99 that's me not purchasing any new titles, as there's no way I'm paying that much for a computer game. I will buy all my games second hand and if it impacts the developers then so what. That's a disgrace charging that much for a computer game, especially one with 12 tracks and a few cars that aren't locked away behind a payment screen.
The last of us 2?
I hate to say I told you so, but I predicted this would happen back when it was announced.
You don't release a big franchise game on old hardware immediately after a new console launch.
I've just bought a ps3 after being purely Xbox this gen. That gives me at least 6 months of quality exclusive games to wade through before I pick up a next gen machine. I'm currently playing the last of us which looks as good as anything on ps4 right now and gran turismo 6 comes out tomorrow.
I'm totally happy with my choice, the next gen games suffer from shallow experiences and shiny graphics, the same as every new generation. It will be September 2014 before th...
Just bought a ps3 after 8 years with Xbox. So many great exclusive games to get stuck into, uncharted, the last of us, gran turismo 6, I doubt I will be interested in ps4 until at least the middle of next year.
The trouble is I heard you have to put in like 100 hours of game time to get these cars. They are not daft they WANT you to cough up the money for the micro transaction.
Best thing to do is just avoid MT or don't buy the game to start with until they get the message. There are plenty of other quality games out there to play, it's not like forza is the only game out.
I'd rather put that money towards a new game or two for a new experience rather ...
I have no interest in any games featuring people or guns because aliens colonial marines and people and guns in it and it was crap.
