A draw
Oh jump off the bandwagon the ending was nowhere near as bad as people like you make out.
Granted I only saw the extended version but it made perfect sense to me. Even if the original was much worse everyone is sick of hearing the constant moaning about it now anyway.
I agree. It's like a good movie is a good movie but it will always look better on Blu ray than DVD.
For those going on about frame rates on Morpheus well it has a processor in the headset which is going to take some load off the PS4. Expect games that run on PS4 to be equally well detailed using Morpheus. Project cars is also porting to the Morpheus which is a great sign of it's capabilities.
This article misses one very important point. VR and motion controls are likely to co-exist so its likely VR has saved motion controlled games not killed it.
They're turning their recent 180 into a 360 and re-announcing DRM
They could sell this at a loss because you can't have Morpheus without the ps4 and it's all about the install base. Once you have that you're away. Surely many people will pick up a ps4 just for this unless Microsoft shock us all at e3 and announce their own VR headset.
Morpheus has an additional processor built into the head set to take some of the strain off the ps4.
There's something reassuring about just picking up the gamepad and your instantly playing on your comfy couch and massive tv. I'll take a slight graphical hit for that convienience every time.
Microsoft got big headed and didn't factor competition from Sony into any of their plans. What Sony has done is build upon the feel good factor around PS+ and give us a console that can play cutting edge games at a reasonable price and once they have the install base they can introduce new peripherals like project Morpheus.
Microsoft just expected people to buy the One after the success of the 360 and they've had a major shock this last year or two with console restr...
Being a fan of a console is lame. Being a fan of getting the best machine that plays the best games at the best price not so much.
What will happen next is that in 12 months time when they have sold a few more Xbox's they will announce project VR and it will require the use of the kinect to work.
And then everyone will be running out to the shops to buy a kinect and Microsoft will be sat in their offices laughing at all them kinect haters queuing up to buy one.
Yeah I get the feeling but then you get one of those mass effect, dark souls or the last of us discovery moments and you realise how awesome it is to be a gamer.
It doesnt bother me because I refuse to use them. If the game punishes me for not coughing up more money I find another game to play. One thing none of us are short of is games on all matter of devices to keep us entertained.
Why does it have to be 30 or 60? Why can't they lock it at 40 and increase the graphical quality?
I doubt this thing will sell for £400. The magic price point is going to be £199 or at a push £249 for early adopters.
A lot of people don't find things cool if they become mainstream. Oculus was this cool device that was slightly underground at least outside the gaming community and now due to facebook buying them out there are people who don't game that know what it is which will only increase in numbers as it gets nearer to launching.
It's a double edged sword kinda like liking a debut album that nobody has heard of but for the band to continue to make more records they have to...
To be fair cinema will always cater to a broader demographic than gaming. Trying to convince old people to adapt to wearing 3D glasses is a harder sell than saying to anyone who's ever played a first person shooter, "here's a devise that puts you inside the game for only £250".
I think Sony studios have to release maybe three or four killer Morpheus only titles to move this into mainstream territory and they have to be ready to go as soon as this thing ...
Grid 2 was shocking with all that drift nonsense.
They were about even.
