I phrased that wrong, if they weren't smashed out in time for other media releases, it would help prevent said titles from being rubbish most of the time.

If licensed games weren't smashed out to correspond to a movie/tv series release, they'd have no reason to be bad.

Great to finally see some new IPs garner some interest in the current sea of sequels.

The review was spot on, the story was right up there than any fan of the series would appreciate, but was let down by rubbish combat and some phoned in voice acting.

I also felt that the environments themselves were a bit too bare and lifeless, with a few NPCs dotted around the place.

If another studio gave GoT a major overhaul, future games could be great.

It's good to see FB Games getting a bit more time and effort put into them. Hopefully it could persuade "casual" gamers into playing more "hardcore" games such as Skyrim, etc.

Game of Thrones was a let down. Personally I think the story, while it starts off a little slow, really picks up towards the latter stages of the game. It fits in really well with Martin's book series.

It's a shame that combat was pretty clunky, and environments were pretty bare. Seemed pretty linear with the exception of a few side quests here and there.

If those aspects were given more polish and refinement, it could have been a really good game.

Being a massive BF3 fan, I purchased Premium on PC. While CQ is a nice change up from the massive vehicular warfare of BF3's other maps, I found that in the majority of the games I've played, people prefer to sit in corners and spray away.

It's funny in a way, after playing CQ for a while, I quite enjoy going back to the larger maps.

I feel that Gun Game is pretty balanced, as people who break away into the lead usually get caught up on getting t...

I don't think the co-op will be too bad on gameplay, as if the player is playing alone, Isaac himself is alone most of the time as well.

While this adds to the tension, it's still nowhere near the scares of the original Dead Space. With the addition of human enemies and necromorphs that shoot back at you, it's playing to the action vibe. The original (and DS2 somewhat) were more "in your face" titles, as the enemies had to get up close and personal to at...

I was amazed when I saw the ability to Captain your own naval vessel, looks really well done.

I'm glad from the sounds of things that the Tower Defense mechanic from Revelations won't be appearing once again. Just felt that it didn't fit the game itself.

Here's hoping we can train attack dogs to rip the throats out of enemies.

Seems to me as if the author has something against RPGs hey? lol

I agree with some comments above, it's pretty stupid to put good games in for reasons such as release dates or the fact reviews were good, not great.

For games such as Duke Nukem Forever or Too Human not to make this list is astounding.

I'd also add any main Silent Hill game since SH3, as they've been lacking since.

I don't know about you buddy, but nowhere in the article was I attempting to sink the boots into a particular console.

If I was having a crack at a console, would I complement one of their exclusive titles? Didn't think so.

Just to comfort you, when I mentioned rechargeable health, I was also talking about Halo 4. Happy?

The majority of games I talked about were multi-platform anyway. Just chill out and don't get all up in arms be...

I really hope they don't add in random civilian deaths this time around, ala MW3.

Sure, the airport massacre in MW2 carried some weight to it, but the little girl getting blown up in MW3 just seemed trivial to me.

I do however like the idea of branching storylines, which gives the campaign some more replayability. As the last few years it's been treated like a 4 hour tutorial for the multiplayer component.

Watch Dogs was the suprise Game of Show for me. Followed closely by Dead Space 3 and Far Cry 3.

Bit disappointed to see Dead Space 3 lean more toward an action focus over the survival horror, but looks good nonetheless.

Far Cry 3 is by no means groundbreaking, but looks like a solid title thus far.

Dishonoured looked really good as well.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution was one of my favourite games of 2011.

I felt like it did the Deus Ex series, and stealth genre justice.

It allowed you to enhance your abilities and adjust your playstyle if you wanted a stealthy playthrough. It catered for multiple playstyles.

I thought it was implemented well, as you were given a limited amount of upgrades, so the player couldn't max out all avenues.

It's an example of c...

I bought it on PC for $50 AUD, which seemed fine as it works out slighty cheaper than buying all DLC seperately.

If I had BF3 on console, no way would I buy it.

It just seems like over here in Australia, companies feel that since we've paid upwards of $110 for a game before, there is no reason why they'd start to charge less, no matter whether the enconomy has fluctuated.

Part of me thinks the reasoning behind most of the stealth games taking on a more action orientated focus is due to players themselves.

I just think that there is little patience nowadays. People are used to getting things as they demand, people don't want to wait. The quickest way is the best way.

Stealth games require patience, whereas most people want bang for their buck in today's world.

As the author said, I believe A.I needs to...

I really hope Black Ops 2 starts to revitalise the COD Franchise.

From the looks of things, it's heading in the right direction. I think most of the sequels and reboots shown are on their way to contributing to their respective series, instead of changing a couple things to get them out there.

Hopefully RE6 strikes a nice balance between the old school horror entries, and the more action orientated RE4-5.

I'm glad to see my favourites: Far Cry 3 and Dead Space 3 gave strong showings. I'll be interested to see how co-op works in DS3, as I was a major fan of the original's survival horror, whereas 2 (and by the looks of things 3) looks to be more action orientated.

Far Cry 3 looks great, from the environments to the potential to tackle objectives in multiple ways. Looks to be a solid entry into the series.

Being a massive BF3 fan, I've caved in a...

The naval gameplay took me by surprise. I love being a pirate!

Looks pretty fluid as well, not like a tacked-on accessory.

Much like the author said, being a fan of Person of Interest, this game has crash landed onto my most wanted list.

With all the various methods utilised in the demo, it will be interesting to see what alternate methods the player has at their disposal to tackle objectives in various ways.

Watch Dogs comes at an appropriate time, with debates going on about surveillance and privacy. It makes you wonder how much of our own information is accessed.
