If this is a Demo, This is by far the greatest demo I have ever played. All the options, online, stats and ranking. I see it as far more than a demo could offer, for free, but a lot less than a full game should bring, of course for a full fee. I would like to see some DLC to help test for the Full release next yer. More cars, tracks, modes maybe. Sure we will see GT-TV content.
I'll give him 1 and 3. Live is easier to use to find friends and message and such. The DLC will make the game bigger. That's it. The DLC will cost. I may not be the biggest 360 fan out there, but I am continuing to see the same types of articles about this. "It's a long game, more RRoD's are bound to happen. It's Halo 3 and hours will be logged on end. Red Rings coming." We all know this. Nothing has changed since the last article written about this and nothing will change when Gears 2 comes out, but someone will find a reason to write "360 + Gears 2 = RRoD waiting to happen. I feel this topic needs to be put to rest.

For simplicity, Why not add 1 more letter to the mix and just call it Gears and Gears 2 instead of GeoW? We already know GoW is taken, no prob. Just using "Gears" looks a lot better (IMO) than GeoW.
I guess what I was referring to was the downloaded pack released 3 weeks ago (or so). Epic remade some of their old maps and released them free on PSN. If they do this on Live, would it be free there too? If not, would Epic start to charge for their own content, not the user generated content.
That's probably a difficult answer. Common sense says yes, from past experience with Gears maps Epic wanted to make free. They started at a Fee, but went free later. If MS could force the hand and make us pay for a map pack that Epic made, would Sony follow suit? Or would Epic say "Well, they have to pay for it, so you do too PSN"? Then the PC would be the only choice for free mods from Epic.
All the mandatory installs combined on the PS3, talking grand total, would stop me from playing for a few hours total. Hell, I'll say a whole day. Still does not compare to the weeks I could not play on my xbox when it was being repaired for it's RROD and when the HDD was corrupting game saves. I lost HOURS of gameplay from GRAW alone. Stop the silliness.
Gt5 is targeting GT fans. I would say Forza tried to pull PS fans to the xbox brand (I like Forza by the way). LBP is not the game I would consider targeting a 360 owner, more like a Wii owner. Cute and Casual does not a 360 game make. Now, MGS4 on the other hand. There are 360 owners who want MGS4 and (for now) can only get that fix on the PS3. Though I don't agree with all the decisions Konami (Not Sony) made about the ID's and lengthy patch downloads, I am going to Beta test a game for $5 down on a game I was going to buy anyway on Monday. Half the pre-orders now a days give you a t-shirt, a doll, art book, a stylus or stuff like that. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me. I started the patch and went to work. I had actually stopped it at like 6% and it picked up where it left off on the HTTP download option.

If you have an ISP who, like mine, blocks Torrent downloads, you may have a problem downloading the the MGO updates using the "peer-to-peer" option. When I do it, my modem drops my internet signal until I reset it.

1: This is a Konami decision, and so far, I don't like it. My PSN ID is 6 characters. The Konami ID has to be at least 8. The Konami ID and Game ID cannot be the same. THis makes it more annoying.
2: This is more fuel to the "MSG4 is not coming to Xbox" fire. MS would not allow this. Unless....... FFXI has it's own logon credentials I think. You log out of live and onto their service. Maybe this could happen on Xbox after all.
meaning, the options on the left have an empty box on the bottom. Maybe they can add things there on the fly if demand requires. But I do agree, the EU variation does pale in comparison. Even the Hong Kong version is better in layout.
