My 360 video card dies Saturday morning after 5 minutes of GTA4.
Or lack there of, compared to the alternative for High Def gaming.
Reason 1. I can play my PS3 right now. I cannot play my 360 because it does not work (for the second time). Popped in GTA IV and less than 5 minutes into the game, my video card died. I think Hardware reliability does stick in the minds of some and the Past gen PS owners may be seeing this too.
Reason 2. What we know IS coming. Yes the delays suck and when they do arrive (Haze), sometimes they fall well short of expectations. But, for me, Haze was not why I got a PS3. Socom was. ...
It would probable use just the PSN accounts registered on the PS3 in question. Now, if you have your account on both PS3, It might store the trophy information server side and sync it between the 2.
Not sure of the motivation for such a harsh opinion for the graphics. PD:Z has come out since the PS2/Xbox and looks like crap next to this. 50% of the Wii games cannot compare to this. I think these look nice and they run smooth. I have actually played the final game and have not seen the issues that so many people are complaining about. If you don't mind, could you explain what you think is so horrible about the game? Not looking for any bashing or flame bait. I would like to have an educat...
Is that on the HD DVD or not? Not does it make a difference or can you tell the difference. To be honest, I forgot it came out on HD DVD.
Consider this SOLD!
Killjoy: FAILED.
That was funny. Had he done with a gamecube and a Wii, it might not have been noticed.
Cheap shot, I know. Sorry :)
but played HSG:OT2 demo and was able to get right into it.
I honestly don't see what all the fuss is about. I played it for about 2.5 hours last night and enjoyed most of it (vehicle control is a bit laggy). The controls seem tight. I can aim at the heads and fire a bullet and the guy drops. I have no problem there. I have played games you can put half a clip in a guys head and he takes it to get close enough to shoot you with a shot gun. So I've seen it worse. The graphics look pretty nice considering the resolution. Better than some other games out...
If this is the future of gaming, I guess I'll have to retire and start a new hobby. Fishing is good this time of year.
of Patlike posting it all in his selected favorite bits and pieces. Nice .
bring a football to a baseball game.
There are at least 3 more coming today.
You mentioned ai having perfect driving skills in a chase. I had a mission where I got to the point at full speed and was able to ram the ai car dead in the side, thinking I would avoid the chase all together. He was turning right, I hit him at the perfect angle, doing well over 60mph. The results? My car flipped from the impact and his car never left the ground. I turned the camera and he was driving like he never got hit.
I'm am trying to finish the game, but I played a Packie ...
One thing I will give you on the MS argument. MS disguises the installs pretty good. When you dl an XBLA game, it downloads and installs in one transparent step. You don't even see the install. The PS3 however did drop the ball where it dl's the install file and then installs it for DLC.
I'm felling generous today, so I'll give you another. Mandatory installs should not be the norm. If the PS3 games mentioned had an optional install, then those who choose not to install would be...
I think he is referring to European money with £60, not $60. £60 would be closer to $95 with current conversion rates.
So, getting them together at that price is a good deal, but not saving a GREAT amount. If you know you want both, then go for it.
Guy I work with is a Die hard 360 is the greatest thing kind of guy. He is also a Metal Gear FTW guy as well. He waited for news that MGS4 was on it's way to the 360, but once he saw the MGS4 limited edition PS3, he had a tough choice to make and looks to be planning on adding another console to his entertainment system.
CoD4 was great (Minus the kill cam for me) and a wonderful move for the franchise. I feel that going back to WW2 would be a bad choice. More people became interested after it went modern for a reason.
I have said it before and I will say it again. Even is all those games have installs that take up to 24 hours to install, it still won't equal the time I was down when my 360 was being serviced for the RRoD I got (only one fortunately, I have a friend on his 4th xbox). If every 360 had a HDD in it, and an install guaranteed improved performance, I bet they would have them too. As far as space goes, I have a 250Gb drive in the PS3 that I got for $99.00.
Now only if Valve can lose it's technically challenged programmers who fear working on the Big Black box. Make room for those who have proven they can make games on both systems.
