Seemed to be a good game, but the lack of ANY online multiplayer or Co-op sorta soured the deal for me. If the extra content includes that, then I'll be more interested.
This does not mean Co-op and Multiplayer are required. I bought and Loved Drakes Fortune and I am playing the original Fable now preparing for the sequel.
1. The 360 is biggest in USA, and they have never been the biggest fans of hot shots golf. They buy their fair share, but Japan eats this up, where the 360 is the weakest. This may be targeting the wrong audience.
2. If it's an XBLA title, I will look into it and may even purchase it, but if it's retail disk based, I'll most likely pass.
Got it at Walmart. Said it was 720p in the display, but got it home, it runs at 1080p. VW32L HDTV20A. I hooked the PS3 up and expected 720p goodness, it self configured to 1080p greatness. 360 recognized the 1080p too.
Trying to attach pics.
No BS Guru.
Problem solved for me. HDMI included. PS3 is HDMI connected, 360 is RGB connected since it doesn't have HDMI. Both are launch consoles.
It has been acknowledged that it is a huge success, selling like crazy, making money out the gate and a fun system.
What more do you want?
That should serve me fine until they start doing video downloads.
It's lost it's appeal to me. It was fun the first few weeks, but since then, it barely gets turned on. I'm far from a hardcore gamer. I see the Wii getting the most consoles out, but Software attach ratio is where it will suffer. The big Nintendo fans will back it, but the casual audience won't buy all the games Nintendo wants them to. It is the next generation step for Nintendo, so this makes it next gen and all, but I'm more impressed with the other 2 Next Gen consoles.
be released in Nevermber. These push backs across the board for Sony are starting to be the norm. They could release Home and build it as we go. It's a free service and I think we would all be acceptant of the issues and patient with the progress, as long as we have something.
Is there really a market for MMO's on a console? I would play them without a doubt, but it seems WoW has that genre on lock.
I had gone to gametrailers in the past to see footage of games and such, but never really paid that much attention to the comparisons (Until the DMC debacle). Since I only went there once or twice a month, it never really stood out. If this trailer is true (which it looks to be), this is low and unacceptable. I guess I'll have to add then to the list of unreliable game media sources along with Gamespot.
I mean, seriously, this is a valid question? And people are actually debating this?
I think I clocked 26 hours in GTA4 yesterday. Just lose track of it all in that game.
I would say on average, 1 hour a day.
And I am American. Hmmmm.
When released. I know many who still play it on the PS2 and have no worries about a PS3 yet.
Whenever I drink in the game, my screen goes into a seizure inducing act of violence against my eyes and equilibrium. :-)
All seriousness, I have not had any lock ups, though a few loading pauses at times. I'm about 30% through the game.
I thought I was the only one that got sick playing the drunken segments. I did it twice. Once with Romin and once on the date with Michelle. I thought we were going to play darts at the dart place. oops. After the first time with Romin, I vowed to stay dry (in game) but accidentally did it again. I know how to tell the difference now. I actually had to pause 3 times while drunk as to not get sick myself.
Not sure about the Lucas Arts titles as I didn't play them much, so I can't really comment there. But as for turn based RPG's, I have to disagree. When I look at my 2 pre-teen sons playing Pokemon (A turn based RPG) and their friends coming over to play with them, and talking about the next title that has not even been announced yet, I don't think the turn based RPG is past it's days, yet. It's more based on the subject matter.
is why it's such a big issue with why kids "Should" be able to play this game. There are plenty of other games, great games at that, that are more appropriate for kids to play. Making a big debate why kids should be able to play this is unnecessary. If someone want's their kids to smoke weed, guess what? They will do it. If they want them to play this, guess what? They will. I have 10 and 12 year old boys who both love games. I will play this and though I would love to share the exp...
The last Zelda game I had felt really deserved the praise it got was OoT. THe 4 player one was kind of fun too. I think I'm just growing tired of Nintendo's big name games. OoT was the last Zelda that got me excited before release. The first Metroid Prime on the gamecube. Mario world 64. Mario Kart 64. SSBB has my interest, to a point. I heard it's still mindless fighting, which would be right up the alley with my kids and I playing, but not by myself.
I could not get them in here, so this link has them posted.

It shows my 360 at 1080p, my ps3 at 1080p and my ps3 reverting back to 720p for rock band since it won't do 1080p and the PS3 won't upscale it.
I was in disbelief when I saw it, but checked a few posts and others also mentioned the 1080p as well on this model.
I do...
