You forgot to put "In my opinion" at the beginning of the title. It was a great game but a lot of great games were released last gen and I don't think I'd class this as one of the best.
To be fair it's not coming to any portable console just home consoles. It was already released on 3DS before the Vita even came out so it doesn't count.

This is great news for Nintendo. Can't wait to see what they've been working on. Hopefully it's a brand new IP but I'd welcome a new Metroid with open arms since Retro made the best Metroid game ever.
Resident Evil 4 came out in 2005, I'm basically saying can you name a better Resi game since 4? The answer being no. It's not really a matter of opinion, the franchise has seriously gone downhill since 4.

Ni no Kuni is more fantastic than this in what way? This game isn't going to be released for a while so we don't know what the story is so it's impossible to say the story is better, we don't know anything about battle system beyond what we can see here so it's impossible to say it's better. The only thing we can say is that graphics wise X is better but then again Ni no Kuni has the kind of art style that can't really be compared to more realistic looking art styl...

It's funny how Nintendo shows a game that PS3 and 360 could never dream of running and yet people still try to convince themselves that the Wii U is weaker than them.
It's not really to do with the graphics. Monolift Soft made one of the best 7th gen games, possibly the best game of 2012. Obviously their next game was always going to be highly anticipated.

The thing you're forgetting is the games mentioned on today's Direct are Nintendo exclusives. Hardly any of the games on your list are and a few of them are coming to Wii U as well.

Yes apps are available on games consoles but they wouldn't be any worse off without them.
