Personally, I never thought very highly of Resistance, and this is coming from a Sony Loyalist. I always thought of Uncharted as the flagship game for the PS3.
That being said, I really think Resistance 1 + 2 are highly overrated. The story was never very original or great (chimera = locust), the graphics have always been sub-par(halo standards), snd the online play wasn't very rewarding. Anyone can play Restistance online and rack up kills, there aren't many tactics involved.

There is such a thing as uncompressed sound recording - haven't you ever heard of HIGH FIDELITY - it can only be achieved w/ old school record players though, not digital recordings.
Easy - Gears1 was a hell of a lot more fun than gears2. Gears2 feels like it has too much influence from Unreal Tournament, its so random, especially with all the crazy weapons they introduced.
In Gears1 the gameplay was just better. There was more cat and mouse action going on, more strategy. The map design complemented the gameplay so much better.

I've beaten it on veteran and I've played the multiplayer for a few hours - there is no lag - the controls are fine - maybe they aren't DUMBED DOWN enough for some people (COD FANS), but I actually like the fact that the game feels different (and more realistic).
The guns feel like they have weight and you feel like you're actually controlling a soldier.
