Majora's Mask and Ocarina of time were quite challenging.
Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, not so much. There is nothing in either of these games that comes close to the water temple in ocarina.
There is little difference between the Wii and the Gamecube besides the controls. Even the games are nearly identical.
And how many times can you really play Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., Mario Party, Metroid, and Zelda before they start to get old. Hate to break it to you people, but these games were already getting stale b4 the Wii came out.
To be honest, the last nintendo console worth own IMO was the 64. The gamecube was decent, but I felt a lot of the games...
I still think there is plenty to be done that can make this game better:
1. Can we get some better puzzles?
2. Enough of the quick time events already, one of the worse things to be introduced in a game.
3. What could be more fun than taking on a bunch of enemies in a destrucable env.?
Just not as interesting. I got through 5 min. and couldn't take it anymore...
That game could easily fall into Resistance territory - decent but not great.
But GOW3 and GT5 are pretty much shoe-ins. Then again, you have to think about the new David Jaffe project(twisted metal?), the new team ICO project, and the new quantic dreams game heavy rain. Those all have major potential.
One game I thought should have been on this list was MGS5. It was refreshing to play a game that actually had an interesting story. I felt that story elevated othe...
All I played was the demo but it seemed like more of a kiddie game - at least LBP has crossover appeal.
I actually like the fact that flower is on this list, that game is easily one of the better network games to come out in a while for XBL or PSN.
I wish they could make a full fledged game that uses the sixaxis as well as flower. Whenever I show one of my friends all my PS3 games they always get stuck on that one.
EDIT: XAMBOL - just because I re...
Sony is still one of the top publishers in the market. They don't pay for 3rd party exclusives, which are becoming obsolete anyways. They build infrastructure and make games w/ their in house devs, which they have a lot more of.
All the prophet from these games go back to Sony. Sure, they have to pay for the dev. costs, but since they own so many devs they can share resources. Sometimes they use multiple devs. to make one game(KZ = Santa Monica/GG)
MS has Halo, ...
From what I hear, The new team ico game is probably going to be at TGS...but we might get a teaser
Mostly waiting for David Jaffes new project (Twisted Metal!?) and maybe some Syphon Filter.
What would really kick some @ss though would be if they announced a Blockbuster/PSN partnership. Netflix will eventually come to all blu ray players, but Netflix is garbage, everything is always on a 'long wait' and the ondemand is all Direct to video trash.
Will somebody explain this to me then http://vgchartz.com/weekly....
This chart shows that RE5 PS3> 360, SF4 PS3>360, KZ2>Halo Wars
I know VG Chartz isn't the most accurate source for info but still, their 'data' shows that KZ2 is sitting at about 1.3 million copies sold world wide.
I know people make a lot out of 360 exclusives selling more than Sony exclusives, but wh...
The fact that Sony has about 10million less consoles in circulation yet they put up similar software numbers(and better in a lot of cases)has a direct impact on the 360.
MS so far has relied on 3rd party exclusives, but now that the PS3 sells just as much software those exclusives are drying up. Its just not economically viable for devs. to limit their game to one system when they can do double the business going multiplatform.
And if you don't believe Sony has s...
Considering there are 21mil ps3's and 29mil 360s - the fact that Sony puts up similar software #s and in a lot of cases, better #s.
I attribute this to the fact that more often than not parent opt for the cheaper 360 then the PS3. Since PS3 owners are usually older they can go out and buy there own software, they don't have to save up their allowance or talk their parents into it.
But yeah, Street Fighter 4 is a joke, it is nearly identical to SF2Turbo except for...
And not click on this link. Sure, it might be wrong for me to comment on an article I have yet to read, but I refuse to give this guys site hits in order to read his poorly concieved fanboy blog that is devoid of any real news. Then again, I've never been one to support second-rate journalism.
Honestly though, the cats already out of the bag on this one - if you can't see that inFAMOUS will be superior to Prototype then you're just lying to yourself.
In this day ...
Portal = lengthy demo, you want to play a good puzzle game based off the source engine then play the conc maps from TFC, portal pretty much steals that whole premise, but w/o the skill
Left4Dead - Second rate outdated shooter, graphics are an eyesore, playing this game warped me back to 2001
Team Fortress - Team Fortress Classic is still the best class based shooter out there for the money. They really butchered this game with the new version. There was something...
At this point last year we already knew about Fable + Gears. So far...nothing.
It does seem like MS is courting a lot of PC dev. to bring their software to the 360, and frankly, I find this disappointing. If your like me, you would rather play games on the PC. You don't own a console to play hand me down PC games.
This was one of my main critisicms of owning an XBOX, and it seems that it has come to pass.
One thing is for sure, MS better start gett...
Personally, I don't think the 360's lead is all that solidified, considering its gonna be at least 2 yrs. b4 the next 360 comes out, and the PS3 is already putting up similar software #s and it only has 8mil consoles sold vs. 360s 16mil in America.
That's a pretty big deal when you think about it. The real money is in the software. Companies lose money on the hardware, especially MS now that they've dropped the price. If you can sell 1/2 the hardware but still put up competitiv...
The DS3 is meant for PLATFORMERS, while the 360 contol is meant more for FPS's.
Personally, I like the DS3 because the buttons and joysticks are more sensitive, plus it has Lithium ion batteries, so you don't have to use some retarded AA batteries, keep pulling them out and recharging them. All you have to do is plug your controller to the ps3, I've also notice the PS3 batteries last longer.
I also kinda like the tilt. I comes in hands in games like Uncharted whe...
What about EVERYDAY SHOOTER? Still waiting for the trophies on that one...
I also thought wipeout HD was almost as good as a retail game.
GTA doesn't run at 60fps on any console.
Plus, it is a well known fact that the best looking version of Bioshock is on PS3, the demo used the alpha code and that's why it didn't look as great, but like every gaming journalist agrees on this one.
And as far as RE5 goes, that game is an abortion of the RE series, and only tasteless americans(360 owners) would play that steaming pile of sh#t.
The 360 has nothing on UNCHARTED.
or GT5, t...
R U people serious? Even w/ these low quality screen shots you can easily tell the graphics in this game are going to be groundbreaking. They look like concept art in motion.
Even from day 1 SE has said that the goal of the crystal tools engine is to amke the cinematics/gameplay seamless, which would make sense that they would port this game over to the 360 - SE isn't going to dev. this engine for the PS3 alone, although I think it will run better on it.
Or at least admit they serve NO purpose!
