It's awesome that somebody remembers X-factor, one of the better variations of X-men.

Wasn't there also a spinoff where they start like a detective agency or something - I geuss they were kinda getting into baywatch nights territory w/ that one.

Can you recommend any good graphic novels? So far I've been reading Preacher, Alan Moore, and a few others. I really like Mignola's art style, what would you say his best work is?

It is literally taken from a paperback novel pulled out of the bargain bin at a used book store. The story is just downright retarded, at least games like KZ have the common sense not to try and pretend the story is relevant.

Bungie is just a stupid dev. in gen. They used to be mac exclusive until MS bought them, and back then they were known for making a quake clone for the mac(quake was only on pc).

Looking at Halo you can totally tell how much they borrowed fr...

They had a good mix of heroes w/ interesting powers.

Strong guy was basically hellboy w/o the horns

Multiple Man was the joker w/ multiple personalities

Quicksilver was supposed to be magneto's son, he was basically like the flash except he could do all things fast(like solving puzzles/reading books)

Then they had Havok, Cyclops' bro as the team leader and some werewolf chic name WolfBane

I still don't know what Polari...

KZ2 or R2?

well, i'd definetly say R2 is the safer bet, it's more of a traditional shooter, plus there's co-op modes, the story mode is alright

KZ2 on the other hand is an aquired taste for some. The online play takes a sec to get the hang of - you don't always want to play on a 32 player server. I would also say that the story mode on KZ2 was more challenging and fun than R2.

As far as I know, KZ2 is about to get more than one set of mappacks. The...

Forge, battle system, all that stuff has little to do w/ actual gameplay. Honestly though, you can have roughly the same experience playing any of the Halo games.

The way Killzone implements the class based system w/ huge maps and 32 players on a server, that's pretty impressive. Its also pretty innovative how you can mix and match the classes to find that perfect fit.

Its not that I don't like the guns in KZ2, I just wish the bullet detection was better.

When you play w/ the bots on hard mode they can take you out the second you pop out in the open w/ like any gun. Try doing that yourself- not so easy.

There's no doubt this game's a success but I seriously doubt it will sell as much, not even 3mil.

You can already tell by looking at that graph R2's trajectory is taking a sharper curve than R1. The difference between these games is Resistance isn't Sony's only big IP for the PS3 anymore. You have to remember, R1 was a launch game, most launch games have put up big numbers by now.

Now that there are so many exclusives on the horizon I doubt people are going to ke...

Those crappy renditions of old songs could just as easily be crappy renditions of new songs - the difference being at least people's musical horizons are being broadened, which in turn will have a positive effect on music coming out today.

I would also say that listening to radio stations is a terrible indicator on the condition of music today. I don't think music is in such a terrible shape, it might be going back underground, but there is no shortage of talented musicians. th...

Kings of Leon
Arcade Fire
Red Hot Chili Peppers

the list goes on

The problem w/ music nowadays is that when a truly great band does come along it goes unnoticed.

American radio stations are more concerned w/ pleasing their sponsors than w/ playing music that people actually care about.

Anything that s...

I have yet to meet somebody who thinks they are a guitar god based on there guitar hero skills.

I have met people though that have been introduced and discovered music they would have never considered listening to before. Heck, there are even a few bands I found while playing this game(mastadon)

Honestly though, can we stop trying to find excuses to hate on these games? If anything, rockband is the savior of the music industry, causing people to get more interest...

I wonder what it would be like if they made a full fledged game. I play some of their PSN games more than I play full games. If there is one dev. out there worthy of making a full game, I would think their name would be on that list.

Time to show capcom how its done

It'll be nice to play a game that doesn't rely on nostalgia for a change.

...which concerns me. The first one was classic, but you definetly have a case story elevating the gameplay. To me, the sum of the parts equalled more than the whole. What I mean by that is the gameplay in and of itself was kinda weak - sure the upgrade system was top notch but actually battling the enemies was tedious and became a chore.

I just worry that, seeing how this game keeps the same setting, will the story be good enough to keep the gameplay from getting repetitive?

Lets be honest, the story has never been this game's strength. I just don't want them to get in the position where they feel they have to release a Gears title every 2 years.

W/ all the patches they've done for this game its obvious they could have spent more time developing for it. To be honest, I still think Gears1 is funner than 2.

Gears of War 2 was a disappointment. Horde mode is cool, and the campaign mode is decent if you're into that sort of thing, but one thing that all people agree on is that the online is broken(maybe 5 on 5 is too much for P2P servers?)

Another thing I didn't like about Gears2 was no local MP. You can't have 1on1 deathmatches on the same box...always thought that was kinda fun.

It seems to me that Gears of War is starting to suffer from unreal tournament-itis.

I think it would be cool if they took more of an open world approach in this game - more of an emphasis on finding clues/treasures. It doesn't necessarily have to be completely 'open world', but just less linear.

The last one was more focused on combat, which was fun, but I'd like to see more challenging puzzle solving. You can always throw enemies in the mix

Sony can incorporate that many players in a meaningful way, because Resistance 2 sure didn't accomplish that, and it only had 1/2 the players.

Not to be a buzzkill, I really would like to see this game succeed, but I just can't forget how much hype there was for Re2 and its 64player servers, only to be disappointed when I played the game and realized it was just a huge spamfest.

They made such a big deal out of the squad based objectives, but at best it was only...

And if you found the water temple so easy, then you must have really found wind waker and twilight princess dumbed down.

Have you ever played the temple in Majora's mask, i forget what its called, but its like a huge rubix cube, and you have to keep teleporting to this terminal outside to change the shape of it? That was hardcore. Turning into a wolf and digging under a fence to get a key(Twilight) - not so hardcore.
