In The Mouth Of Madness is all about a writers works of fiction coming to life. It is even set in some backwoods town. I would have to say, even with the little we know about this game, the similarities are still kind of obvious. Alan Wake has definetly been influenced by this stephen king adaptation.
It was always Tecmo's intention to dev. an exclusive for all 3 platforms. Even though NG2 is coming to PS3 in the form of Sigma, its going to be a lot harder to port Quantum Theory back to the 360 seeing as how its tailor to the PS hardware, although I don't think its out of the question.
Funny thing, been following this game for awhile, but every time I would bring it up or post a link for it people would talk smack.
The particle and explosion effects look excellent, and the since its using the same engine from NG2 I expect the gore to be top notch as well.
Between this and the uncharted beta Gears of War is gonna have to do more than just come out w/ DLC to stay relevant.
There is soooo much red tape involved here. The prospect of bringing an MMO to a console has proven to be a difficult one. I'm sure it took a lot of work between Square Enix and Sony to figure out how this was going to happen in the first place. The same thing is going to have to happen between them and MS. I wouldn't expect an official announcement on this matter for a while.
Plus, how do you scheme the pricing? Should gold XBL members get a discount on the monthly fee? Could ...
When it was the movie 'In The Mouth Of Madness'. Honestly though, for a game that prides itself on its writing team, they couldn't of ripped off this movie anymore.
GT5 has Formula, Rally, Drifting, and Nascar. It has GTTV where you can watch racing like the D1 championships or the world rally cup. It will also feature damage for the first time.
Not much is known about Forza yet, but the feature they seem to be pimping is the movie editor. Other than that, the graphics don't even look that spectacular, I think Shift will have better graphics.
Then it will be clunky, defective, and overpriced(Headsets, Wireless Adapter, Hi-Def Player)
Motion Control is just a gimmick. It will never take the place of controllers. The reason nintendo sells is because it is a trusted brand name and it is dirt cheap.
The only person I know that hasn't had their 360 die on them never plays it because they got it as a prize from a raffle drawing at their job.
One of my friends makes good money repairing 360s(usually its the heat sync that goes out)
90% of games announced at E3 never come out the same year. If we don't already know about it(Splinter Cell, ODST, Alan Wake) its probably not coming out any time soon.
Case in point: Before E3 last year, we already knew about Fable2 and Gears2. This year, not so much. Something tells me whatever Kojima is announcing will be the highlight of their presentation.
The whole concept of shapeshifting levels sounds pretty unique.
One of the most annoying things about online play is those people who have too much time on there hands on learn every nook and cranny on every level.(Here's lookin at you COD feinds)
If the maps were randomly generated than it would all be about skill, it would also be a lot more competitive.
Its not built on the Unreal Engine!!!
I'm sure the servers will be more stable than Gears as well. PSN is known for hosting games w/ massive amounts of players
No, but to quote Robert Frost
Time is a waste of gold
All the people I know are getting seriously burnt out on this game.
To be honest, I was never that taken w/ the series, but then again, I'm not easily impressed w/ trendy games(inFAMOUS). Espcially after playing pc shooters my whole life, when the first Halo came out it was cool but by no means revolutionary.
I have yet to hear a company exec go on record and say "eh, its gonna be so-so" or "our presentation will be mildly amusing".
Until we get a story posted among those lines I'm going to have to cite bias.
The last time my mind was blown by a game was when SotC came out. But who knows, it is rumored that Team Ico will be making an announcement...
The SP makes splinter cell look like childs play.
And murderdolls, you'll have to excuse me if I don't trust your judgement, you do have the Rare Logo for an icon. What was the last good game they made again? Conkers Bad Fur Day?
Rare has sucked balls since the company split in 1/2 and got bought by MS. Perfect Dark - sucked. Kameo - sucked. Viva Pinata - sucked. Banjo Kazooie - sucked. Viva Pinata 2 - eh, surprisingly fun, NOT - sucked.
Im sorry, let me reiterate that
YAAAAAAWWWWWNNNNNN
Preordering in the first place is just a scam, especially for a game we know next to nothing about.
I thought this was just supposed to be a glorified expansion pack, what's w/ the 59.00 price tag?
still, I don't need to buy this game and play it for the thousanth time.
They really need to add trophy support to the psone classics on PSN, then it would be worth buying.
This game is very rare, the dreamcast version is still worth face value
You could say this about every shooter. He really didn't go into a lot of detail on why he though it was 'meh', not to mention, what self respecting journalist uses the term 'meh' in the first place!?
