Is it just me or are sandbox games the new form of lazy programming. I have played all three of these games, and in 2 out of 3 cases, I would much rather prefer a straight up single player campaign.
Its such a chore going from mission to mission, like in Red Faction, its almost better just to run straight to your objective than to try and navigate the twisting and winding roads in a car.
And inFAMOUS for example, shines the most in its platforming elements, the m...
or Amsterdam, now there is a location synonamous w/ debauchery. GTA really does need to go to a foriegn setting already though. It would be fun to drive on the wrong side of the road, or to drive wrong on the right side of the road, same difference.
The game is as elusive as WarDevil. Pretty sure its coming to all platforms though, the little we've heard about this game was when the execs were saying it wasn't the exclusive that later turned out to be agent, they made this case by saying L.A. Noire was multiplatform.
Anyways, I'm sure team Bondi is probably working on a couple PSP titles or a network game. They probably only have 1 ps3 exclusive. 3 titles for one studio is alot, no matter who it is.
Aren't there some games where, if you already completed the requirements, and you download the trophy patch, you automatically get all the trophies for them?
Thought there were supposed to be some games like this. I save my MGS4 save files on purpose for this very reason.
I'm not sure how much merit there is to these rumors, but I have been saying since the unveiling of NATAL that next year the gimmick will be 3-D graphics and Sony will probably lead the way, followed by Wii if they make an HD version.
Sony already has a prototype for this w/ GT5.

It was alot like Hulk, the devs last game. You can run up buildings, fight with enlarged hands, throw heavy objects, etc. While I don't think its fair that a lot of reviewers took the devs. last game into consideration, I still am having a fun time playing it.
I like the way you can pick up weapons and get in vehicles. The skill tree is more robust than inFAMOUS, and the gore is pretty awesome. I just wish the story was better and there was more to do in the city.
I was just eyeballin' my neighbors cattle, thinkin' to myself, I could really go for some covetin' right now.
Once again, the bible saves the day /sarcasm
Apparently the bible also teaches to hit the disagree button like a bunch of cowards.

He says he's not but he acts like he is. Plus, he's too smart not to be.
It bothers me that you can't run for office unless you fit a certain criteria, part of that criteria being religion. It didn't used to be that way, if you look back into american history it was common place to elect athiests(20th century).
Plus, when politicians say they believe in god, you know its not true, because everything they say is a lie /sarcasm
But yeah, I really fee...
Should we tolerate intolerance? Intolerance towards logic, truth, and reason? NO.
Christians should be the ones apologizing if anyone. Anyone who thinks that we should run our lives according to an archaic set of beliefs created by a people far less sophisticated than us thousands of years ago should never be taken seriously.
Dude looks like someone's creepy uncle. Like the kind of guy parents are gonna want to keep a w a y from their children.
What is R* thinking, parents are gonna see this cover and say, 'I know, I'll buy the game w/ the child molester on the cover'.
inFAMOUS and Prototype are 2 completely different takes on the same genre.
I kind of liked how you had to figure out how to climb up some of the buildings in inFAMOUS, they were like little puzzles. inFAMOUS had a lot of cool platform elements to it. I also thought the story was much better and so were the physics.
Overall, I think inFAMOUS has a slight edge.
And it was a lot like Hulk:Ultimate Destruction, which is why I think some reviewers kind of panned it. The way you can run up buildings/throw heavy objects/use enlarged hand things.
I liked the stealth elements and how you could pick up weapons or get in vehicles. The skill tree was also quite robust. But the plot was weak and it felt like their should have been more to do in the city.
Overall, I would give it an 8.0.
It totally seems like Team Ico has that ingredient that is missing from most other games - heart.
Watching the Trailer for The Last Gaurdian gives you the sensation you're watching a pixar movie.
The Last Gaurdian is the main reason I bought a PS3. Hell, its the main reason I'm still a gamer.
You are obviously in denial. No one on this board made the slightest mention of Xbots or Sony Fan Droids. Congragulations, you are the first @sshole, how does that shame feel?
You don't have to justfiy anything to us, it just sounds like your justifying it more to yourself. Nobody is making you buy a PS3, just keep playing your 360. I'd buy my own 360, but I would rather play Splinter Cell, L4D2, MassEffect2, and Alan Wake on my PC.
You don't own a console, you o...
I don't care who you want to say won, you gotta give Sony some credit. They had so many games that a lot of them slipped through the cracks. They had a 1/2 dozen goty contenders, then another 1/2 dozen AAA titles.
I don't think anyone had a stronger software showing, this was Sony's strongest software showing to date. While other companies were busy showing games that were going to release on PC simultaneously(Alan Wake, Splinter Cell, Mass Effect, L4D2) Sony gave us a list of ...
I think the reason they didn't show off Max Payne was because its rumored to be very similar to Uncharted 2.
Does anyone really still believe Halo Chronicles is a reality? After Peter Jackson's last foray into gaming(King Kong) we're lucky he'll spare us.
Hearing a lot of good buzz on Rage though.
What is up w/ all the fanboy pics of Olivia Munn? Don't get me wrong, shes hot, just about as hot as any other tv show host, except for the fact that every time she talks she manages to come up with something even dumber than what she said before.
And I really don't think any of those chicks on G4 actually play games.
I've beaten inFAMOUS, and I'm playing through Prototype right now, but I've gotta say, from what I've played so far, inFAMOUS is definetly better in terms of plot, graphics, and overall gameplay.
I think its funny they way they just start out bashing inFAMOUS over the most insignificant things instead of coming up w/ tangible facts. You can tell the author never even gave inFAMOUS a chance.
Prototype is alright but there are a lot of cheap things about it. Person...
Because games are known for their well written storylines. Compared to most games, MGS4 is frickin' shakespeare. Who cares if its convoluted, it still gives you enough emotional investment to want to keep playing through and see what happens.
MGS is one of the few series where I actually don't want to skip the cutscenes. I would agree that they were a little long winded at times, and sometimes they went off on a tangent, but overall, it puts most games stories to shame.
