I don't deny that there are ton of Halo 3 copies out there and that there is a huge online community for it, but are you seriously arguing that 7 million people are logged in at one time? Is that what the screenshot says? If so you are delusional if you think that is real. That is saying 87.5% of ALL halo 3 purchasers were online at the same time. That is ridiculous.

YOu guys do remember there is a game in there right? With bosses and everything? YOu keep focusing on the level creators but I believe that is just a feature. Awesome story, character, graphics, and initial gameplay. but yes, the dreaded "repetitive" criticism. Two things to improve the game. First, yes the battle system just improve it. I don't know how, I'm not a game dev. Second, make each mission a bit different and varied. Boom, instantly improved game.
I'm glad it's been delayed slightly. I find it hard to find time to play games, and right now I'm finishing up COD4 (before that R&C and Uncharted). I have UTIII and Orange Box sitting next to my PS3 unplayed, because of no time. That is a lot of shooters, and if this game is decent being released in March gives me a short break from shooters.
Doesn't help my gf got a Wii and recently bought a 360, so now I gotta rent all those games as well.

Hard Media just can't go away, not for a while. First, digital download proponents forget, bandwidth is limited. Imagine all those movies being rented and bought, translate that into bandwidth. Not enough. ISP's already surrpetitiously throttle some downloads. Secondly, videophiles love their bitrates, and downloads esp. streaming ones do not offer enough of it to compare to HD DVD or Blu-Ray.

I think with the level creator this game can really take off. even for people who have no creativity (i.e. me) as they can probably wait for stellar levels to be available, download, and play.
You can still buy though, just buy it. I prefer to rent, because I rarely watch a movie more than once save for a select few. However, I prefer to rent in Blu-Ray or HD DVD for the simple fact that, I am getting the best picture possible. Short of the master, HD DVD or BD is going to provide much better PQ than anything you download. Just look at the size. The bitrates etc. are much better. Just because two videos are 1080p doesn't make them identical. Lots of compression etc. going on ...
And the Ford Taurus was the #1 or #2 selling car in America for a long time. I'd still rather have a lexus or a mercedes or a BMW. Cost more, sells less, sexier, better.

1080p is better than 720p but not all 1080p panels are better. In fact a lot are crap. There are a mutlitude of factors when it comes to picture quality, with resolution being just one.
