Let's not rush to judgment!
Maybe multi-part means you're going to get the FULL remake for $60 but they're planning VII-2 or spin-offs incorporating canon from all of the expanded universe titles... maybe not.
Point is... it could be peaches, it could be dog food.
If time has tought me anything it's that patent docs don't tell the end user story.
That being said... I can't wait to hear more!
Perhaps and this is what I'm hoping... we get the full FFVII game with multi-part referring to expanded universe titles.
For example Crisis Core, Advent Children, whatever that animated thing was called could be turned into new games in the series.
Probably not multiple Blu-rays. The BDXL format supports additional layers up to 128GB.
That format was defined in 2010 so if I were a betting man the PS4 probably supports reading the disc format.
Agree it's a pipe dream but one can hope that competitive pressure from Microsoft's strategy will make them reconsider.
They can have it both ways. Sell a disc based emulator and individual games like we saw with PS3.
I wish it was a full backwards compatibility... hell I'd even pay up to $20 for an emulator app that gives me uprender and trophies.
Huge Nintendo fan here BUT this Miitomo thing looks like a snoozefest...
Fingers crossed for a retail version!
I bought this one when it first came out... I tend to hold on to my last-gen for a while!
I got it because of Level-5 and it's good, sometimes great but like many RPGs could have used some balance around grinding.
I have mixed feelings on this right now. I'm not sure where I stand...
I played FFVII when I was 16 or 17 and it left a mark on me. I've wanted a remake/remaster as much as anyone else so I'm going to wait and see what the final product looks like!
Psychonauts was a really fun game... I've been waiting a while to see this!
I just realized the Shenmue 3 campaign is still going via Paypal! Hoping for a big push by end of year and announcement of remasters from Sega.
I think more details will be out today but I inherently disagree that Sony shouldn't pursue PS2 emulation... couple if things they should do though:
1. Make PS2 Classics compatible
2. Allow for FREE disc-based emulation of basic PS2 emulation with compatible titles
3. Charge a one-time fee ($10-20) for a premium PS2 emulator that handles trophies, up renders, etc. (I'd love it to be free but dev costs so it's unlikely)
You think so? Honestly, I think that's the exception not the rule.
When I consider games that are replayable, I think of all the SMB titles, Mario Kart, etc.
It would be great if sites stopped reporting on this... Amazon has been using year-end placeholder dates for 10 years.
I definitely WANT a 4K TV but will Best Buy actually give me an Xbox One just for wanting?
Nice! More people to play with online!
NES Remix 1 & 2 are available retail... well worth it too for $25.
Nice costume but kind of feels like Nintendo half-listened to the fans... I'm hoping they add this as a power-up I'm game!
Microsoft is very smart and playing a long game. Don't underestimate these comments... they're intended to gauge Nintendo and the public's reaction.
I love Nintendo and would be sad to see their dedicated consoles go but a joint collaboration between these companies is their both best interest to gain market share.
