This isn't a nitpick. This is, in my opinion, Wii U's biggest issue right now, and I've fully felt the consequences of this when my first Wii U was stolen.
Nintendo needs to untie user accounts from the hardware ASAP.
Funny. You thought it was a mess, I thought it was one of the best game demos I've ever played.
However, I'm also not surprised by the score. Judging on the demo's gameplay, I can see how this game can be polarizing. I feel I'm going to absolutely love the final product, because the demo was pretty akin to my tastes.

Yeah, the problem is that neither Sony nor Microsoft have a gamepad. Having a big touch screen in the middle of your controller is the biggest reason why Miiverse works.
On the other hand, it could work if they made it compatible with iOS and Android devices.
If Miiverse comes to the 3DS, then it stands to reason there would be communities for its games. That's what Miiverse if for, after all. XD

My 10 year old niece LOVES her Wii to death. She didn't grow up on Metal Gear Solid, Grand Theft Auto, etc. And her mommy sure as hell ain't buying her these games.
You seem to be forgetting about that market, which is HUGE. And it remains a fact that Nintendo has the most family-friendly image of all three, and if they keep said image, they will be just fine with their home consoles.

Nintendo made a profit from the Gamecube, despite its relatively low sales.
The original Xbox sold a bit better than the Cube, but Microsoft lost billions of dollars with that console nonetheless.
If the Wii U becomes another Cube, fine. It will still be profitable for Nintendo, and it will still have a lot of good games. I would be more worried if it came closer to a Virtual Boy scenario, and that is not very likely to happen.
You misunderstood him. He wants Nintendo to untie the accounts to the machine, so that the games aren't tethered to the hardware, only to the account itself.
Yeah, they sadly don't have Metroid, they don't have Xenoblade, they don't have Pandora's Tower nor Last Story, they don't have Smash Bros, they don't have Animal Crossing, nor Kid Icarus, nor Star Fox, nor Mario Kart, nor Paper Mario (unless you're one of these mindless people that think that all games with Mario on it count as the same), etc, etc, etc.
Poor Nintendo, they don't have any IPs at all. :(
People with common sense knows that this isn't a scam, and at $50, it's a good deal considering the extra effort Nintendo put behind it.
I love the PS3 HD collections. Enjoyed the God of War ones pretty much, and I recently played Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta on 3D, it's awesome. And there just add the HD, 3D, and trophies.
If I was able to enjoy these, I will definitely be able to enjoy Wind Waker with its reworked graphics, and new game...
Lopez, Starcraft sure as hell is a damn competitive environment, but it isn't affected as heavily by lag as fighting games are. Just stop.
A wired connection is better and more stable than a wireless one. That's a fact.
There are competitive players that prefer to tether their consoles to a wired connection, even if they do have a wireless setup. I can see and understand MrSwankSinatra's annoyance at the Wii U's lack of ethernet port.

That's news to me.
The way I understand it, they just can't develop for Xbox One or PS4 in mind simply because these consoles aren't out yet. But their version of the gamepad use different "cartridges" depending on the platform you want to use: PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Ouya.
So, I think they could make new "cartridges" to allow the gamepad to be used with Xbox One or PS4, but for that, these consoles need to get released first so that they can dabble with them and understa...
