Technically, sony sold out of day one consoles. All preorders were picked up or if not sold that day to a lucky walk in. The units stores have for black Friday were predestined to be sold this next week.
So yes, all units meant for sale on 11-15 were sold out. All Xbox ones slated for day one purchases are not sold out as outlined in the article.

Blame falls on both sides however problems arise when making a large scale mp game. If dice went to EA and said, "its taking a little longer to get it right. The elephant in the room is that this is not isolated to bf4. Every bf launch has the same issues. Just ask any PC gamer who bought bf 3 on day 1.
This mindset is the cancer of the industry. Its one thing to give a good ribbing to a friend over his console of choice, much like different sports teams fans can do but to be spiteful and mean spirited is just wrong. Do I like MS? Not really. But, I would never hope for a person to receive a broken unit or for MS to go bankrupt and have people lose their jobs. These are our brothers and friends and kids and neighbors. Money ain't cheap. Saving up to buy one is a big deal for most people....
Agreed. I hope any gamer who experiences a problem gets it replaced quickly. Ps4 or Xbox. I've been there; waiting months for a release only to have it not work. It really sucks. Regardless of your preference you are still a human and a gamer. I hope the best for everyone.
Bingo. Its not that "oh look at our sweet deals" but rather using the systems as leverage to get people to come to their stores. They know its a hot selling item and they know the system is sold out everywhere. I wouldnt be surprised if they make forced bundles. In order to get a system you have to buy 2 games and an extra controller.
It boggels my noodle how a gamer would hear in Feb that a new console was coming, see it at E3, read about fast sellouts then show up on release day willy-nilly and act shocked when they are told there are none for sale.

Souls are great games but for me Demons was just so good it sucked me in for hours at a time. From those damn rolly-polly skeletons to the entire level of the tower of Latvia it just oozed atmosphere and dread. I literally took one step at a time and was scared to go in every clouded doorway. I was constantly going on YouTube to see what the heck was about to kill me. When I did have plentiful souls I was a scared rabbit just frozen in place, too scared to move and risk losing it all.

MS is a little heavy handed with the ban hammer. A ban should always be done by a live person. Even having one innocent get sucked up in it is unacceptable. It reminds me of insurance companies who denied all valid claims because it was cheaper to do that and settle out of court with people who actually sued them than paying for legitimate claims.
