This makes plenty of sense. I was thinking about this a lot last gen. When I would sell people ps3's they wanted only to use as blu ray players and so the kids had something to play. Why we had 2 Playstation sections, 3 Nintendo and 4 Xbox 360 sections. When we got multi platform games in we would get 3,4 or 5 boxes of 360 versions for every 1 or 2 ps3 ones. As dead in the water as the 360 and Ps3 were in 2013 huh. If they support it for 2 more years after Scorpio that's 6 and more then enough hell even one more year after scorpio and you know most companies are going to just like they did then.
I'm probably going to trade up but I don't feel at all like I have to before scorpio. If you want one get it if you don't dont. Sheesh the internet.

It was Sony this year. I think pulling NEO made them trim the fat so we didn't have statistic about sales and Tv show announcements. They also had the better play demos that showed the best of their games. I wanted to play all the games in MS conference too but the demos were poorly presented. MS gets a solid B+ and Sony gets an A+ both should be proud. If MS had better presented play demos maybe cut that minecraft part short (though it wasn't that bad) they would have gotten an A too...

To me THIS was their greatest E3 presentation ever. Not last years or the years before which had big lulls in the middle. This was a focused presentation a lot like the ones MS has been doing the last few years just games after games after games. The difference is the play demos are perfect cuts from these games that show what make them unique and fun to play. Props where props are due one hour in and this has been a flawless presentation.
It's the consensus of some people and some do not agree. I was surprised Colin had so many good things to say about it. It flowed and had more good then bad with a perfect ending. Sony has had some stinky parts to their conferences these last few years too. The overly long Destiny demo 2 years ago. Bringing Brian Michael Bendis out last year completely killing the flow of the show. This year...i have a sinking feeling about VR....I guess we will see soon enough.
It seems like it comes down to opinion and preferences. There were parts I thought were ho hum Minecraft felt forced. Final Fantasy was a mess of a demo. The rest was good. Sea of Thieves looked fun I think a lot of people are hating on it because it had the people in it but it showed the experience of playing with friends and looked fun.
It had some groan moments namely Final Fantasy gameplay fail and I always think long game play demos are boring but I was happy overall. Most of the games looked great.
PS4 was announced 9 or so months before it came out. This is 18 months away chill.
By the time the new console comes out this one will be half the price. It's going to sell.
It's going to be 450-500. While the Xbox One S will be 299 and probably by then 250.

Eh most of the games announced last year for both have been. More companies need to use the Bethesda formula of announcing shortly before. Look at Andromeda. E3 press conference was like a how to on what not to do.
How about an Xbox One version. Your gonna commit to a multi platform future and release 3 on XB1 but ignore it for this. Seems silly. They could be introducing it to a whole new audience. The saddest thing about Kingdom Hearts is that it used to have so much buzz back with 1 and 2 when they came out.
