I've been going back and forth on it for weeks whether or not to buy a PSVR. The fact is it really is still just demos and experiments. The most complete game on the system is around 2 hours long. They still have to figure out movement and nausea issues. I get wanting to be in on the ground floor but once all those endorphins come down and you look at it objectively its just not there yet. I applaud Sony for jumping in and helping to get it jump started and I can't blame MS for waitin...

That's pretty oversimplified. I've said it before and i'll say it again. JRPG as a genre has not been evolved enough over the last decade and a half. That's why its become more and more niche. Time was I could spend hours grinding all of my characters to 100 in say Final Fantasy 8 (and I did). Now I can maybe do an hour or two a day before i start getting drowsy. Then I sit down with Fallout or Mass Effect or The Witcher and I can literally play for hours no problem. It's ...

I like that they actually say if it bothers you wait and be safe. Hey no argument here.

Because the scope of their games is far larger then others. The things that have to be balanced in this game are mind boggling. They QA's for most of the year before they released Fallout 4. It's just impossible to see all of the things that can go wrong before it goes out in the wild in this kind of game. People compare it to the Witcher but even the Witcher as large as it is doesn't have the swatch of customization options a Bethesda RPG does. What they manage to achieve with th...

Sitting here I struggle to think of an even average game Bethesda has released in years. Having to go all the way back to WET (which i still enjoyed). If it bothers you so much wait till the reviews come. For Bethesda especially it makes sense if they have Day One patches for games of the size and scope of Fallout or Elder Scrolls. Those games are buggy even after months of QA testing. They are damn near impossible to debug completely before they go out in the wild. The combination of factors...

This is a very common sense approach anyone can take. Still it wont stop the whining.

Not a shite given. I know Dishonored is going to be a good game and based on the pedigree of the last one can take the calculated risk of buying it on reputation. Or if i'm busy I will just wait until one week after launch whoopdee doo bazzle.

Exactly. This is like that facebook friend who announces to everyone they are deleting their account, just to see who cares and will beg them to stay.

This list is awful I'm sorry. Nemesis, RE Remake Zombie which turns into Crimson head unless beheaded or burned, Xenomorph, Scissorman and the Regenerator from Dead Space. Order however you wish. These are Style and substance. Silent hill enemies weren't what made the game scary. It was mostly music and setting. Pyramid head looks cool but he is damn near helpless when you fight him. He doesn't stalk you and make you run and hide for your life like Nemesis, Scissorman, Xenomorph a...

They're winning over PC? Bethesda has a rabid following on PC and sells well on XBox so no Sony is the one with something to lose. Bethesda is going to make money hand over fist with or without Sony. Sure they will make more by having it on more platforms but are you saying you don't think it would hurt Sony at all if Bethesda went PC and Xbox only. Your out of your mind if you do.

This seems to be happening everywhere though. A lot of delays for all of the platforms..

3 weeks ago mods were uniformly denied on PS4 now they are not. After weeks of demand and bad press. Sony caved and allowed it with a caveat.Truthfully neither one of us could say for sure what really happened. One thing is clear Bethesda had a lot less to lose then Sony. Sony was the one getting all of the heat.

Paul WS Anderson attached to direct! Milla Jovovich will star as Judy a character which will inevitably overshadow Marcus, Dom, Cole and Baird and get all of the best scenes constantly saving them throughout the quintology.

I like that he specifically mentioned 1 vs 100. With Beam there is a possibility that we could see something like that again. That was kind of a golden era when social gaming was starting to boom. At least for me 2007-2010 were particularly cool years. I'd played online on my PS2 on Smackdown vs Raw and MGS3 and always thought it was amazing, but in 2008 when my cousin was in college and my best friend was in Ohio and all of my friends were scattered around. Having the ability to get toge...

It was only a matter of time the way Bethesda put them on the spot. I thought the reaction Goldfarb had to this was hilarious about how he had never so blatantly seen a 3rd party give a 1st party the middle finger like Bethesda did with that PR release a few weeks back. After that with all the heat on them from Playstation fans it was just a matter of time before they caved and gave the people what they wanted. Which is not a 180, but just general common sense in business. Good for them and u...

Cool. I just want it to do well. I want real competition between the two and hopefully Nintendo the benefits us the consumers. We live in a dream world compared to the mid 2000's games included with our monthly subscriptions. Affordable prices on consoles and and aggressive competition. I love it. I really hope Nintendo gets with the program and starts doing things like not making us buy the same games over and over on different consoles. Listening more to what it's fans want. Guess w...

@Redrenegade

What am I making excuses for exactly? Did you read and comprehend before you commented? Japan once one of the largest game markets in the world has been overcome by mobile mania. The ps4 is selling slower there then any of its previous incarnations. Much Slower then it is in the us and uk. These are facts so what is this excuse I've made and what is it for exactly. If it's somehow about Xbox I wasn't even talking about that. Xbox has been a non sta...

It is niche it's been niche for years. Hell it was niche when FF7 came out and millions of people bought the game based on the CG in the commercials and then went to play and quit after being bombarded with menus and the materia system. JRPG is not a growing genre it's been on a steep decline for years just like the Japanese game industry. It also hurts that the RPG element's have been placed in most action games. Another thing not all players are the same. You just say Xbox Fanbo...
