Agree, but I don't know why that's the case. EA could outspend Activision and flood every form of media, but I won't be surprised when I see 1 BF3 ad for every 10 COD ads.
My Rolodex
I think the success of MW3 actually comes down to how well Battlefield 3 is marketed. I think DICE has done a terrible job in the past and consider that the reason the BF games don't sell as well as they should.
Hell yeah, the problem with AC is that its too repetitive (assassinate a man walking the streets with an entourage of guards). That and you wind up fighting your target head on most of the time.
I hope the next GTA is in a new city this time around. I loved Vice City and San Andreas, but I don't want to get burnt out cycling through the same three cities every decade. Also a mission editor, been wanting one since GTA II.
Considering you'll be paying a subscription to see extra stats and a community that you can already find on the web, yeah I'd say that's milking
I sent my redemption coupon in the mail like a week or two before it expired and never got it. Agreed though, there are a whole new generation of gamers that are unfamiliar with the franchise. Well I'm off to youtube to watch some TM wishes gone wrong
Hmm
They marry each other. That's why they live in California.
@zeksta how can you consider the fourth installment of a series the root? If anything these Modern Warfare games are more akin to spin off titles of the real COD.
I'm expecting them to announce 32 player battles for the consoles this summer. I'm more worried about seeing the console footage at this point though.
Haha so COD is the Justin Bieber of video games, makes sense now
I agree, but I hated the jump to voice acting. The moans and groans the characters make are annoying and make me want to pull out my hair. Vanille is a perfect example.
@cleanhealthy12 So if they kept the same game mechanics, but had Tomb Raider (PS1) graphics you'd still love it?
I thought it was an interesting read, but maybe a certain explicative was used a little too much. You did mention the reason you like Manhunt 2 though haha
Why? This kid is still 14-15? One bad mood swing is all that separates MS from the same position Sony is in. Can you think of anything at all you would trust with a 14 yr old hacker?
I have been playing this franchise for years and hate the direction its been nose diving into. Sales mean little in terms of quality. The now infamous E.T. game sold over a million copies and I think we all know the end to that story.
Ugh, Sigma...my stomach still cringes seeing that screenshot.
I would think it would be when all major players stop supporting the consoles of that generation. So the 6th generation is still chugging along. Just because a new generation comes along doesn't spell the immediate end of the previous.
@Redempteur Final Fantasy games are usually (or used to be) held at a higher standard than other RPGs. There hasn't been a FF game I've liked since IX. My biggest problem with the newer games is the clothing and the voice acting. Oh my god the voice acting...
