It costs money to add more content. These companies have to allocate labor time to create a product that will do well in the target market. I'm sure if we paid about $79.99 a game, they'd be more than happy to give us 20+ hrs plus online game modes. It sucks, but these companies don't really respond to anything but loss in revenue.
@reynod, I'm certain if PC gaming was more affordable and stable a lot more people would play on that platform instead. I understand what your saying about team actions though. I'm usually the only one on the 360 that realizes that a smoke grenade can do wonders to get closer to the objective.
Excuse me for having friends with similar interests and wanting to play Skyrim on co-op. Nobody is going to want to play with you if you have that kind of attitude anyways. Win-win.
Agreed, unless there were motorcycles in the game, it came close enough
Agreed. People defending the hackers promised us homebrews, but I've yet to see anything besides programs that attempt to hide you from Sony, pirate games, and cheat online.
Hmmm...haven't done PC gaming since MOH: Allied Assault. I remember the true power of PC gaming as being able to bankrupt me every six months; did that change? Haha just messing with you. Enjoy your well deserved glory day in the sun PC gamers, hopefully those of us on consoles won't get too gimped
Are you saying that games today aren't fun? I miss the games of my youth because there was a little more imagination required from the gamer to build up a storyline. Now the stories are lame and games rely on multiplayer for most of their fun. Don't get me wrong, I find the new games fun, just not nearly as rewarding as the old games.
@UnwanteDreams there are no homebrews and these hackers know it. It just makes for a good excuse to cover their true intentions of pirating and to a lesser extent, cheating.
@Eamon you're right they do have a right and this happens in 99.9% of all law suits. This is supposed to be news?
They'd lose the trust of hackers and pirates you mean? Huge blow there. Also I don't imagine it'd be impossible for them to brick the system since it happens all the time on accident.
@Pimpmaster wow what is it with this whole "my first amendment rights are being violated" thing? Why do you need to mess around with your system in the first place? It's meant to play games with the addition of optional features. That's all. The loss of home brew and pirated games will not deal a blow to the first amendment artard.
@pixel_enemy sorry, shaky application of that term. I was pointing out that just because every other system has been hacked doesn't make it alright for every future system to be hacked.
@yesah haha no, soldiers in World War II fought for our rights. He's fighting for a hobby.
@pixel_enemy if everyone jumped off a bridge would you do it?
Lets say you own some shares of Sony (SNE). You hear that a major blow has hit the company in this hack or whatever you want to call it. Sony's response is either, Sue people responsible to calm investors while working on fix or leave people responsible alone while investors dump stock and leave Sony with less working capital. Win or not it buys them time with investors.
lol @hsx9, doesn't work like that. Can a minor "donate" $6 to you for a pack of cigarettes? Or in a dry county can a person "donate" $25 to a clerk for free beer?
God help this world if companies and nations start to give into demands of every persistent criminal, thinking that they'll just magically go away. They won't, that's why they don't.
@corepred4 In the immortal words of Randy Marsh, "Fu** you Jersey!" Nah, but seriously that show is terrible. Funny, but terrible.
A lot of people? What all twenty people that bought the PS3 solely for "Other OS?"
I installed mine because I heard texture pop-in takes ridiculously long if its not. I've not had a run in with any freezing so far. Just the terrible dedicated server issues.
