A few years back I remember picking up Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising. It wasn't a really good game, but the difficulty in not having checkpoints and realistic bullet damage to the player made it a real challenge. Finally finishing it a few months after I made the purchase was one of the most satisfying accomplishments I've made in a video game.

If I was to tell you to name an MP3 player would MPMan be the first thing to pop in your head or would iPod?
OR has done great things and will most likely continue to do so, but innovation is not an isolated practice.
Personally, I just want consistency from reviewers. I've been on this site and have read way too many reviews over the past seven years to know that some sites are all over the place with how they review games.
It's typically not low scores that tick people off, it's usually unjustified or biased reasons for low scores. If you want to ding a game's score because it didn't push the envelope or didn't have an engaging story, you should expect to carry th...
Oneshot, I am by no means a grammar Nazi, but if you are going to attack someone's intelligence and tell them to "go back to school," you may want to make sure your own comment isn't riddled with mistakes they warn you about in first grade.
Well the iPod really didn't take off until the Zune was released /s
I think Oculus should be extremely happy over this. They are PC based and Sony said they don't plan to have any real PC support. The main benefit though is that developers can now worry less about sinking money into VR development for both PC and PS4 and not receiving a decent return.
Sony is smart and they know the Oculus Rift will be their immediate competition. If the guys at Oculus VR are able to offer a headset at $300, Sony should be able to take advantage of their existing economies of scale to offer a higher quality headset at roughly the same or lower price point.
Even if I'm right, it'll still be a hard sale at 75% of the cost of the actual console though.
After playing Madden 25 and vigorously using the hit stick (sometimes with way to much force) I can say that the rubber thumb sticks are extremely durable.
I think the author showed his age by only having last gen games on the list.
Deep down I'm a little jealous this guy has all that time on his hands. I'm lucky to get a good three hour session in anymore.
I remember seeing the giant control module (too large for me to call a controller) in a magazine and wanting the game so bad.
The last gameplay trailer was running on an Apple II so I think you'll be fine.
The black levels are just horrendous now. Looks like someone turned the brightness up to 100 and the sharpness to -5.
It's a little different when a game garnered so much hype based off amazing visuals. If this game had a unique art direction I might agree with you, but they were focusing heavily on graphical fidelity for a long time. Now that the game looks like a last-gen port we should just be happy Ubisoft is even releasing the game?
We were misled and misinformed again by Ubisoft and if people decide to vote with their wallets against such practices, how can you be against that as a...
I admit I haven't seen any firm confirmation either, but I would think at this point if it wasn't the PS4 version then Ubisoft would have said something less vague about the issue.
My PC version will look like it's on PS2
If that was the case a majority of top selling games would still be sprite based.
The only thing holding my PC back is my wallet
Most of my frustration came from spending 2+ hrs on a mission to only have a stray bullet land a kill shot on my character.
