If you don’t mind the dial-a-combo system it’s a blast. Personally, I love it and toss it in my cabs regularly.
Good to know. Unfortunately it didn’t come up in the list of related articles when the link was submitted so we missed that. Appreciate you pointing it out.
It is fantastic. It's just a shame you can beat it in a couple of sittings. Still, it's a wild 12 hours while it lasts!
Only nothing of the sort was said at all. Weird hill to die on, man.
Same here. Can’t wait to get my grubby mitts on my Switch retail copy.
I’m waiting for the inevitable plague of locusts to strike as I show up to pick up my pre-order at this point.
I was admittedly on the fence at first, but the Night Stalker footage was enough to make me scramble for my Founder’s Edition pre-order. It looks fantastic.
The release date is TBA, but LRG has stated the game’s pre-order will run until a week after whatever the launch date will be.
You and me both. Same goes with a proper Shinobi, Shining Force, or Golden Axe release (sorry, Beast Rider). So many amazing Sega IP to choose from.
Well, I can't disagree in this case, but generally, I love what they do when it comes to putting out otherwise digital-only titles in physical form. I'm a big proponent of physical media and don't want my games to just vanish when a HDD dies or an arbitrary server gets flipped off. That said, I think they're doing the lord's work.
Same here, @monkey602. The characters are vivid and detailed, and the backgrounds look gorgeous and sport all sorts of little touches that bring them to life. The animations also look like the natural evolution of what we had on the Genesis. Overall, I love it.
This is definitely exciting as far as I'm concerned, especially when it comes to Sony's potential to censor future iterations in the series. That being said, I'm starting to hope Yakuza 7 finds its way to the Xbox One.
You’re not kidding. It took them many months just to announce which platforms the game was being developed for.
I would be 100% OK with this.
They absolutely do. But many of those same people (myself included) have likely bought half a dozen collections from Sega in recent years that feature half of the games included on the mini or more. It’d just be nice to see the company take a chance on a few more lesser known Genesis/Mega Drive releases. Monster World IV is a good start.
Phantasy Star IV is one of the 42 confirmed titles for the Mini.
I would have gone for Road Rash III, personally. Catching air in that super bike and landing on a hapless cop’s head is just awesome.
That’s definitely a great way to describe it. Got lots of fond memories of staying up until the early hours of the morning to see what new games arrived at the end of the month. Same goes with racing through RPGs like Phantasy Star IV and Shining Force II just to complete them before my save data was wiped before the monthly update.
You know, I’d agree if we were talking about games older than 10 years. Sadly, P5’s soundtrack, while solid, just didn’t do it for me. Then again, disco and funk just aren’t my thing.
I’m glad you mentioned Herc’s Adventures. That game is criminally under-appreciated and definitely captures that ZAMN vibe.
It’s a shame Ghoul Patrol was hot garbage.
