For what it's worth, the name IS a reference to a very expensive Neo Geo title.
To be fair, this one actually has two games as it's bundled with The Simpsons Bowling. The price is steep, though.
Man, that and Daytona USA are at the top of my list for potential Arcade1up cabs.
I can see where you're coming from. I wish I could tell you how many times I've had to explain to some readers over the years that a 2.5 out of 5 does not mean a game is awful, it means it's totally average. :D
Yep, you and me both. Nintendo really made a strong case for the Switch during the last Direct. It'll be interesting to see if they're able to keep it up into the PS5 and Series X's second year at retail. Well, if you can even call it retail given the fact nobody can even get them...
I was wondering the same thing. I've been tempted to try Resident Evil 7 out of morbid curiosity as well.
Yeah, it's definitely been a bust of a year. Pretty glad I didn't have to shell out a few grand in travel to be this underwhelmed this year. The indies stole the show.
FB marketplace is usually swimming in them, at least in my area.
It's absolutely insane how Arcade1up just keeps picking absolute winners when it comes to their game lineups. I know people are divided about the quality of the machines themselves, but when it comes to choosing which games to include, they're really at the top of their game.
You and me both. Despite the jank, the original was quite enjoyable. The only thing that has me disappointed is the lack of guns and vehicles this time around. Cruising around and plowing over ghouls in my buggy in The Following was tremendously fun.
It really is unbelievable. What's sad is that with a bit more polish and fewer, more meaningful costumes, the game could have been so much more enjoyable. As it stands, it's just kind of an unfocused mess.
It sounds much more serious than it is lol. It's just a reference to a very bizarre VN/tactical game discussed in the podcast about historical figures turned waifus.
Happy to help! It’s a great machine. I hope you enjoy it.
We use a single ad partner, Network N.
It's absolutely a major improvement over the original, that's for sure! Mega Turrican will always be my favorite though.
Squaresoft, too.
Man, I wish. It's a shame Square and Nintendo don't enjoy the same relationship as they did back in the 90s. While the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi games are decent enough, they just don't scratch that same itch.
I’ve never understood why this stage tends to get so much hatred. It was an exciting boss rush that you can tell Treasure had an absolute blast throwing together.
Melon Bread is the real MVP.
Yep, I was wishing for the same thing. Here’s hoping Fantasian’s score is one to remember and his career of creating unforgettable soundtracks concludes on a high note.
That’s an unbelievable deal. I dropped $600 on my four-slot 15 years ago and all I got with it was Fatal Fury lol. At the time, that was a bargain.
