It's a new online multiplayer game at a dead time for new gen games. People will be chatting about playing it for months whether good or bad. That's a very good thing for Xbox right now. Infamous will be great but it's a single player game people will probably be finished with in a week. If Titanfall becomes the game everyone is talking about playing with their friends ala COD it will be a big selling point.
Actually the weakest console usually wins the generation. Price and Gameplay have a lot to do with it.

You can't add that. Those are launch time numbers not the norm. You will probably never see 700k a month again let alone ps2 type numbers. Except of course during the holidays.
Only if Xbox goes out of business and even then probably not. You are talking the type of numbers per month that you aren't even close to now. Add it up. Even sales of all consoles combined for this past month probably wouldn't come close to that in 5-7 years.
Dumb advice from Forbes per usual. They have to drop the price quite a bit and take the hit. $540 on a system known to be the less desired is way too much.

Well you have a hot chick you can make a stellar 1st or 3rd person shooter with in HD. A mature nintendo franchise just sitting on hold with a huge fan base. Take it to the next level and make it happen. Or make another 2D sidescroll and lose the opportunity regardless of how good it is. You are sitting on your Halo, your Tomb Raider, your mature franchise people bash the company for not having. If you pop out with a 2D version I'd be vastly disappointed and doubt I will be alone.

It is great. Had a good laugh watching some guy die 600 times in Donkey Kong the other night. It's great for previewing games.
Hmm. Yeah an online game where random people could setup or arrange the enemy to make things more different or challenging for the shooter could definitely get interesting.
In regards to that does the camera have to be on or can you like put tape over it or something? I don't have XB1 so just curious.

It's the truth. You take the hit right now to sell units and build an online community with Titanfall. Online COD was the main reason everyone I know got a 360. Online community IS a big deal but at the current price they will stay with 360.
They have an opportunity right now with the only new multiplayer game coming out. Sony doesn't have that. It's now or never.

It would be telling to know how much this amounts to for AAA companies because if it's enough it may bring about the crash that has been expected.
The Wii U is a great console in many ways. I love mine especially the gamepad. There is much room for improvement though. Here are a few things that I would change improve if I could:
1) They need some type of new online idea to truly set it apart from the rest.
2) Miiverse is cute but I wouldn't mind a more adult version as a choice.
3) Full controller and gamepad support for every game including Wii would certainly help.
