Agreed. You won't sell systems with a game when more than 80 million can play it on the old system. This trend is bad news for hardware.
Then stop putting the same games dumbed down on the 360. Killing themselves is more like it.
Activision and EA are laughing all the way to the bank with 4+ consoles to sell the same rehashed shit to now. They probably all went out and got "We Love 'Next Gen'" tattoos together.
Meanwhile the rest are screwed producing hardware which no company worth it's salt wants any part of anymore.
In the end when all the hype dies down it is games that drive sales forward and long term. I think we are headed for some sort of minor crash though with the ridiculous expense of these games. Only a handful are actually for the new consoles and that will not exactly boost sales of them. The software heads will keep pushing it though with 180+ million ps3's and 360's out there to sell to. Don't expect a lot of "new gen" exclusives any time soon. Money talks, but at some ...
Been advertised on Nick here a lot and it is colorful like all those tablet kids games. Maybe it will do better than we think.
Eh so what. Lots of young girls play 3ds.
This is just another example of lazy, greedy devs again multiporting for cash while sabotaging the new generation of consoles. There is no bottleneck or reason for this whatsoever. People will keep playing these on last gen consoles since the difference in negligible. The devs will sell software so they could care less. How many exclusive new gen titles are there this year? 5?
It won't drop in price. It comes with a monitor and a Wii inside.
Anyway interesting review. I'm watching the stunning looking game play and listening to how bland the game is at the same time. It's a side stroller not sure what else there could be. Anyway to each their own. Score seems a bit harsh though.
Hopefully the story is good too.
Sure is garnering much respect of late.
Beautiful looking game that's for sure.
And I suppose Wii wasn't either. These arguments are so dumb. Go see how awesome Black Flag looks on Wii U then come back and we can discuss all the 720p "8th Gen" games. Or perhaps you can explain how GTA V or Tomb Raider achieve what they do graphically on what is now laughable technology in the last gen consoles. Good devs can make it happen.
Well Titanfall won't be because it's also on 360 and PC. Infamous games are good but not system sellers. X will be great I'm sure but only Mario Kart, GTA, and COD have the kind of following to be big system sellers. At least until the next big thing.
Aside from that the video is just a final fantasy style party killing random mobs. Exactly how it goes in Xenoblade Chronicles. It's an rpg not an mmo. I think there is a lot of confusion because most never playe...
Over the top statements like these are only going to give this game a bad rep. Most people don't understand the video anyway because they never played XC. It shows nothing more than your Final Fantasy like party killing random mobs found out in the open world. It's an rpg not an mmo. It is exactly how Xenoblade Chronicles plays. I am sure it will be awesome but in the world of quick fps games not sure a game changing number of kids will go for it. It is what is.
All these old games should be free never mind wasting time remixing them. How about you work on getting pro controllers or the game pad to work on normal play Wii games or something a bit more useful to your customer base?
I agree with Ed here. This isn't Ninty with a ton of 1st party exclusives. The 360 sales will keep people from upgrading if they can get the same game graphics or not. I don't think all this beta footage helps either as it looks like an OP COD and I don't see that not becoming boring quickly.
Unlike PC and NWU XB1 competes directly with Sony for 95% of the exact same software sales. Competing with your own last gen console just makes it that much worse.
Most AAA titles are clones to make money so what's the difference?
Idk trying to think of how that benefits amazon. Certainly they are the kings of the cloud and could probably bring game streaming to a whole new level. I'm sure an Xbox in the living room getting you to shop amazon all day all the time is what's the key. But with a pending war with isp's looming over bandwith it may not be the best time to invest in Internet gaming of any kind.
Yeah a shame but the cost of making a so called AAA game is absurd anymore.
Hopefully a fresh break gives him the freedom to come up with some cool new games in the future. Better than being harassed for the next 3 years about the next Bioshock.
Great franchise. Adieu.
