Castlevania was one of my first nes games and still one of my favorites. Not sure what happened to the franchise. Go back to your roots.
7 is a great classic but 8 really took graphics to an unseen level at the time. I still remember the commercials. That being said I still prefer the story of 8 and some Triple Triad.
Still great even today. The first of the first person games, we were pretty amazed at the time. These games were really expensive though. $80+ for DK on N64 back then.

God forbid a game makes news for being a challenge and not a Hollywood style walk through.
It's the type of game they need in the Wii U library though. There is currently no realistic style games or jrpg's on the Wii U, at least not 1st party MADE specifically for the system. X may not alone be a system seller but X and Smash together for example may be enough to sway people.

I think a new version of XB1 will come out (MS tends to change things if they aren't working) and the initial adopters will get screwed. I can't see them sitting back and letting this ride for the next 5+ years.

Yeah this is the bundle I got. I like white and I saw lots of nasty black fingerprint covered game pads in videos. Anyway I knew 32gb would only cover one decent game download anyway.

Yes Sega had a cd add on. Sony mainstreamed the idea when Nintendo wanted to stick with cartridges. Nintendo took a huge risk with mini disc's in gamecube which was supposed to be the future. Obviously it never happened but it had been used in music cds here and there. MS and Sony battled it out over blu-ray and high def and blu-ray won. There is no "law" on how many years you have to wait. Combining the 2 is reason enough to throw a new hybrid out there anytime soon. But they must continue support for what we have now.
In the next few months I wish one of them were coming during this general drought until MK8 but we shall see.
